I am cutting it close this year. I like to take a big break for Xmas but in 2023... I've ended up working on videos right up until December 22nd. But it's done!
As always, my final video is a look at the "most innovative" game of the year. It's always interesting to see the games that people guess will be in the video - this time, absolutely no one guessed right! I'll soon find out if that's a good thing or not.
Apologies for the lack of early access on this one - I just really, really need to be done with work now.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, if you celebrate it. I'll be taking some time off now. I will definitely be doing a "year in review" post for Patrons, but that might not come until January. We'll see!

In 2022 he said he would no lomger make those yearly summaries because they were becoming repetitive (among other things Japan isn’t improving)

Finally caught up with this video! Really loved the introspection towards the end! Dev intention is always one of those things that gets ignored by commentators so i loved that youve completed your own arc and are taking it into consideration! Been supporting you for over 7 years and proud to see you evolving how you want to!

Merry Christmas Mark! I’m looking forward to another year of GMTK. I appreciated the (as you put it) “weird” soul searching at the end and see it as growth and development and a sign of further, deeper analysis in the future. I was surprised by which game got it (I was expecting it to be Zelda), but the video has convinced me. This game, and many of the honourable mentions, had been on my list for a while, but now I’m going to bump it up to the top. Is there no accessibility video this year?
