Hello Update :)
🕑 Added 2018-08-23 20:27:35 +0000 UTCHi everyone! :) I've been a bit slow on the next upload because I've been doing a bit of thinking! I've decided I prefer my more thought out videos rather than just making a higher quantity of videos. I felt myself feeling a little bit empty like there was more I could do with each upload, but I wasn't giving myself the right amount of time for each one.
There is typically a pressure on YouTube to make as many videos as possible. I think most creators feel this pressure which is why a lot of them put out multiple videos a week even if the quality suffers.
I would like to give you all the best effort possible. :)
Some of you may have wondered what happened to my BTS vlogs. Well, my "vlog" camera stopped working several months ago. I put it to rest in a low humidity environment and low and behold it turned on again recently! :O My recording room isn't air conditioned unfortunately so it is often hot and humid in there. I have a feeling the humidity got inside the camera a bit. I will try to start recording more behind the scenes stuff now I have the cam working again. :)

agree with everything. there is a strong focus these days with just pushing content. and i see it all over youtube. id rather be mindful and put out stuff that is worth the time and effort. :) thank you ken <3

i guess im my biggest critic! which is good. i like to keep myself in check. i want to push the boundary :) thanks Doc <3 i feel the same way. i watch ppl who upload only occassionaly and always enjoy what they put out

I'm glad you decided on quality but pls don't overwhelm yourself with high production value, sometimes a back-to-basics approach focusing on just great sounds and simplicity is fine as well. Don't worry about the frequency of uploads, go at your own pace. Just make sure to leave the window open a crack, pour us some water, and tear open a bag of kibble and we'll be here waiting with our ears perked up whenever you come back. :P

Jeez Amy, I must not be paying attention. I thought all your videos were high quality. Quantity isn't so important to me. I subscribe to ASMRtists that publish once every 6 months. It's like getting a surprise gift when they show up in my notifications. There are only so many hours in a night... Of course when you upload a new one I drop pretty much everything and at least start to watch. Go at your own pace, that is is fine by me.đđ€© Because the result is always good.

When it comes down to matters like these, quality will always win over quantity. I've watched one good ASMR video for months now and it'll always work, meanwhile the rushed ones just don't stick

Agree with all above. Glad to hear from you as well. Thought you might be on a chat sabbatical. Thoughtful vids are lasting for sure and I personally look forward to resumed BTS vlogs as well. Thank you Ami.

I'm completely with you. Quality over quantity. [None of this is advice, btw. Just opinion =>] ASMR is art (at least to me) and great art takes time. We live in this pressure cooker culture where everyone is staring at their phones for the next shot of serotonin. At some point there's not going to be a big enough serotonin button to push no matter how many videos, or how many tweets, or how many posts people produce. Right now we're in this, "well, if everyone wants a million videos a week, I guess that's what I have to do," phase. I applaud your reasoning that it's better to back off a bit for the sake of quality. You might end up with less overall videos, but, I'm hoping that the higher quality will mean greater fan retention over time? I know that's what it means for me. But, I'm 55, and clearly remember a time when I was at home, with 13 channels of TV available over the air, one telephone in the house (that you had to be near to use), a stereo, books, and that was it for input, other than the fact that we actually looked into each other's faces and talked with each other because our faces were not buried in phones looking for that next shot. For me, it's quality over quantity ever time. I really appreciate your work because it's so calm, and well done. Thank you.

I really admire and enjoy the time and effort you put in to your ASMR productions. You care about what you put out for your viewers and want them to be reflective of the hard work you put in to them. I appreciate all the work you do. You are doing great things that help so many people relax and find a moment of peace in their lives.
