Development Report 7/30/2024 + Public Content Update
🕑 Added 2024-07-30 10:08:25 +0000 UTCIt's been a week since the last content update and nearly a month since anything was mentioned about the upcoming updates.
For the majority of the first month we've been doing QA and have identified and fixed dozens of bugs and other issues. We've also hired a artist to help out our lead artist, with the hopes of improving artwork production for this and future versions for as long as we can have them. Both of the sprites in this post have been colored by them!
The writing for "Act 1" of the Bakery is finished and "Act 2" is about a quarter of the way done, we just need to add in the sprites and make the CGs (if we can get them) and the first of 3 acts will be fully complete!
Though we'll have to slow down the writing production for a few months since we don't have the budget to sustain this speed for more than a couple months, but I'm currently in the works of getting a new place to move to next year where I'll have more money to spend on the game and that extra income should allow us to keep this heavy development speed going a lot longer.
Just a matter of getting there.
I wanted to finish the bakery route by the end of this year, but from my estimations we're going to miss that deadline so it's now looking like an early 2025 date for the completion of the route.
Additionally we've decided to add a somewhat smaller Ren'py game into our game roadmap in between Uni and Slaverspace. Something that we can develop and have a finish product within a much more reasonable amount time than what Slaverspace will be.
So now our overall development roadmap now looks like:
Uni > Dual-Route > Slaverspace > City States > Project Custom (1,2,3) > Uni 2
Hopefully I'm not 100 years old by the time we get to Uni 2.

It'll be with a new cast of characters, but similar to the dating and exploration seen in Uni with the complex choices and consequences structure. It'll be much more refined than the current game and will require us to make the other games in the roadmap first. Each game will build off the last in some way.
