Break (Some bad news)
🕑 Added 2021-10-13 22:17:07 +0000 UTCHey, my hard drive containing the episode 15 scenes failed last week (6 Oct). I've been trying to find a solution to at least bring back the data inside for the last week but looks like it is not possible. To be honest, I'm pretty bummed out. It sucks to redo the stuff you've already done and I can't find enough motivation to do those scenes again.
I'll pause the billing cycle for a month, after that I'll probably work on the christmas episode(far away from home). Then after that I'll start working on ep 15 again. Really sorry for this.

There'll be christmas update around 20 December also I already started to redo the episode 15. I'll post some update and previews from the christmas update before the month ends.

Wenn die Hardware crasht, das ist echt übel. Nimm Dir Die Auszeit, hole Luft und mach dann Dein saugutes Spiel weiter. Ich freue mich schon drauf wenn es weiter geht! Mir hilft oft wenn ich pfeife (Don't worry, be happy). In dem Sinne halt die Ohren steif.

That's really awful, at risk to sound like an idiot. Is there maybe a data recovery center that could retrieve some or all the work you done so far. I know some companies offer this service for their drives.

A bit late now but: The 3-2-1 Backup Rule 3 copies of your data (including the original). 2 copies on different storage media (USB hard drives are cheap nowadays). 1 copy in another location. Think hardware error, software error and user error. Think fire, theft, flooding, lightning (you name it).

There is some very good recovery software that you can use on your failed HDD. That allows you to recover most if not all of your work. This happened to me last year. It does take a lot of time as recovery software is somewhat different to use so there is a learning curve to get through.

Yes, if you are gonna do stuff with a financial stake, you need to back it up. External backup drives aren't very expensive.

Get an external adapter. What hd do you have? I might be able to recommend one that might work.
