at 43:09 when you asked "the fuck are you doing?" he's committing suicide. Charcoal brickette smoke inhalation is a common way to end yourself in Korea. It's how Jonghyun of SHINee died. Edited for context: Charcoal brickettes are used as an alternate heat source in homes that use fire for heat, so they're relatively easy to obtain, but their smoke is toxic to the same degree as car exhaust, so they're meant to be burned somewhere with proper ventilation. He's taping the doors and windows to prevent the smoke from escaping.
