This is sad, knowing how it ends up...but refreshing to be able to play an older, more mature protagonist, and with other complex characters who have a past, and past relationships. Not something we get a lot of in otome where we usually get very young MCs who haven't experienced much of the world yet.

Calywen was definitely a horrible person, but horrible people has loved ones too. They have loving memories too. Although Calywen's definition of love and Virion's definition of love was a little bit different. It was a complicated relationship which was already a little dark, became really toxic in time. Ah man, this relationship is a hard one to think about, but once again good on you for not being afraid to talk about the tough shit and the ugly side if things. It's so much easier to cast abusers as remorseless villains, but the fact is that it's never that simple.
