Np , It's the least I can do . ( I thought that the giveaway was a "lottery" system , not "first come first serve" ... And I don't have the money/job right now so at least I can help find mistakes )

Good catch.

At ch 3-26 :"A nomenclature change. The processor dies have been renamed to nanoform lattices. ...." . At this ch "Even with Alexander’s tweaks and the accuracy of the fabricator dies, he had a seventy percent failure rate on ..." . Is the "fabricator dies" correct or do it need to change ? ( like the "processor dies" to "nanoform lattices"

I understood that reference :)

". He wasn’t sure if it was due to the strange architecture, the materials involved in their manufacture, or the early implementation of room-temperature quantum processing for self-learning algorithms but whatever the cause, the processors didn’t always work as you might expect.". You want crabbit's? This is how you get crabbit's.

The scalibility problem of processing is a deep and thorough problem. Right now his solution effectively is limited in the same way Intel's processors are, they use a ring bus that sequentially rings around all cores and therefore the more cores you add the more ring latency to add. . . AMD's Threadripper/Epyc approach to this problem would largely solve this scaling issue. AMD is selling processors with up to 192 CPU cores, and these CPU have next to no scaling degradation. A 196 core CPU can perform a single-core task within 5% of same speed as their consumer CPUs with 4-16 cores. They do this via "infinity fabric" which is a fancy name for the fact that each CCD (cluster of 8 CPUs) can directly address all of the other CCDs AND the central I/O node simultaneously. In the compute world the thing that matters most is scalibility, and if you have BSE figure out how to scale better than computronix then they could easily become the dominant chip manufacturer for data center/supercomputing. Also, in terms of infinity fabric, what would really make it 'infinity' is if each node was quantum entangled such that, regardless of distance, each node had no-latency for processing and data sharing.

I hope Pembroke would seriously considered joining BSE, but time will tell, also it would be awesome having some real aliens making contact with Alex.

Merlin's Fan

I'm honestly happy about the recruiting of Pembrooke. I hope he uses him appropriately and gives and takes equal shares. As in Pembrooke trying to get the upper hand in their deals and Alex outsmarting but sometimes getting his intelligence checked by the sly man.

Time to clean house, fun.
