There were rumors that Pell was originally going to be killed off, but the chapter was only weeks after 9/11 happened, so they decided to keep Pell alive in respect to current events. Whether it's true or not, I'm not sure.

Yeah, that’s the end of the arc. No backstory, so I don’t know who mentioned that. But the crying part was obviously Vivi saying goodbye 🥲. Robin is literally probably one of my favorite strawhats. And a needed mature and knowledgeable figure to balance them out. You’re gonna end up loving her.

You are right! There’s three types: Historical Poneglyphs, Instructional Poneglyphs, and Road Poneglyphs. The one Robin found was a blue Historic Poneglyph. My bad! I also found out that “Rio” is the romanisation of the katakana that means “real” and refers to “true history”.

Yea Pell not dying had to do with 9/11, but also Oda said "The reason I don't want to draw scenes where people die is because I want to draw a party after the battle. If someone dies, you can't have an enjoyable party. A party is my ideal form of friendship. I want to end with One Piece with a *big party*."

The last few chapters of Alabasta came out in December of 2001 and January of 2002, so literally a few months after 9/11, Pell flying the bomb into the sky was November 2001. So it's wasn't a week of two after 9/11 but it was still VERY close to 9/11

So their was a little backstory in their, but I think that's when the Dogs barked and you were distracted. It wasn't much, just showing Vivi and Igaram forming their plan to infiltrate Barque works. I think you guys thought it was part of the present.

Robin one of the best girls in One Piece. Can't wait for what's next. Vivi goodbye was sad but touching and just when we think we aren't getting a new crew member Oda gives us Robin! Bon-Chan goes out a loyal legend. Did you hate Pell being alive? Most fans to this day feel its one of Odas few missteps. Cheapens his death. I feel like Oda loves all his characters he has a hard time killing them unless he feels it serves the story.

Vivi's goodbye is so emotional, and I love the way Nico Robin joins the crew like it's no big deal. She's awesome. I will say you guys let comments influence you too much. Just go with the flow and focus on what's in front of you lol

That was the end if the arc, I like to think of that as the end to the intro of One Piece 😂 Definitely watch the filler on your own! It's not cannon, but it shows you Robin bonding with some of the crew. And one of my favorite Sanji moments. Get ready for an ADVENTURE!

Jaya is the first Arc where pausing is a necessity. There is going to be a lot of contextual information while Dialogue is happening. So I would save shout outside and things like that for after the episode etc. So glad you saw the finale! Each arc only gets better from here on. I really cant wait for this next lore heavy arc now that we are back on the sea to a new place.

Now we’re onto the next saga Skypiea and the first story arc is titled Jaya which is one of my personal favourites for many reasons and one of them is that it has a more “piratey” feel than usual. And yup Pell is really still alive 😂 I remember laughing out really loud on an older reaction when Jason was certain he was dead.

Its the end :) just pell watching his grave was supposed to be funny and a good way to end the arc. As you guys have seen in the last episode, they showed everybody they came across in Alabasta, Vivi riding away symbolizing the journey of Alabasta done and done. There's the expectation with comments of ugly cry or back story failing to be met and just resulted to confusion. Let's refuse to give them hints of future emotional scenes so they can go in blind without expectations. Anyways, great reaction! I really liked how Robin showed us each members personality by winning them over one by one. Looking forward for the next island with you guys!!
