Yeah they probably told you to break it down this way because the fights are longer in the anime. With their time constraint I really appreciate how they adapted Arlong Park in the Live Action but I definitely agree that they rushed through it. This arc is significant for a lot of people too because this arc for a lot of fans is where they go from liking One Piece to loving One Piece. Love your reactions as always can't wait for you guys to get to end of the arc and move past where the Live Action was, the journey is only just beginning!!!

Attack on titans is good but dark, not alot of them warm good times but great story n top marks in every regard. Would recommend my hero academia or maybe naruto.

I agree. AoT, Demon Slayer and many other animes reveal extensive dark in the human side or society. Not that I complain, it is another sort of entertainment story I guess. But the reason I love One Piece so much which is different to other animes, just like you said, is the wholesomeness and some valuable life-teaching moments. And "hope" is one word across the story. Even without Luffy, many of the side characters cling on the hope and live through hell hoping for better future. That is the spirit we all need and usually we may lack of. And Luffy, the ultimate hope they didn't know they needed until he appeared, this created hype for the story, but also quite some philosophical type of message to me. This is not a boring lesson-teaching story that many of the "modern media" try to preach to us. It is actually fun and enjoyable for the first watch. And it even extends to many layers when re-watch or sank in. It amazed me.

Last episode of the arc is 44, so you may want to plan 42-44 as a 3-parter. The nami arc (her backstory, Bellemere, the Cocoyasi Village) felt sooo rushed in the live action. We're not done with the arc yet, still gotta defeat Arlong, but everything prior could have had so much more depth and substance in the live action. Love the live action, but that's my biggest gripe with it. Also super appreciate the audio fix. I wanted to mention it before but seeing how I don't know any fixes I didn't say anything. Much, much better quality. Only audio critique I can still say is the show's volume is kinda low compared to the mic's audio. Cowboy Bebop is an amazing show if you guys decide to react to it. Also strongly consider watching the English dub, it's one of the few anime shows where the dub is all around superior (not that the Japanese sub version is bad, just that the English dub is INCREDIBLE).

Yeah, Cowboy Bebop actually has a live action on Netflix and was the first live action adaptation that the company that made the live action for One Piece (Tomorrow Studios, i think?) Unfortunately, it didn't do too well. Also, are you guys familiar with Avatar the last Airbender? Netflix just released the live action trailer for it yesterday. I'd say that something that's very Similiar to One Piece, altho it's not really Japanese Animation, it's a western nickolodeon cartoon

Second comment: sorry, i didn't know where to post this, but I just saw the last couple of minutes with ya'll discussing about adding another anime. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this but AoT and Demon Slayer are very different from OP, VERY violent, VERY dark. I mean sure, OP has it's dark moments but it's also very wholesome and has those valuable life teaching moments. Don't get me wrong AoT is VERY good, one of the best anime ever, but it's not a show that really has any good life lesson moments. As for Demon Slayer, I didn't really like it that much but that's just IMHO. Just wanted to give you guys a head up on that One anime I'd reommend is Cowboy Bebop, it's a classic, short too (26 episodes), it's still different from One Piece tho so if you are looking for something like OP then Cowboy Bebop probably isn't it either. If you had a poll I have a feeling that Attack on Titan will most likely win

The walk to Arlong Park is one of of my favorite scenes in One Piece. Don't worry tho, even after 1000+ episodes it still has those powerful emotional scenes, hell it just gets EVEN better from here. I'm so excited for you guys

I hope you are looking at the filler list. Filler is anime only content that wasnt adapted from the source material. They are episodes that have nothing to do with the main plot and can be skipped because it wont be important to the story later.

The live action didn't emphasize the "found family" element enough so Bellemere seemed a bit dumb for telling Arlong she had kids, but here it was really setup how much it meant to the kids and Bellemere to verbalize their bond as a family in that moment. To put your own life on the line just to say out loud that you are a family, you couldn't make it any more so, ya know? It's beautiful writing. Also Luffy putting his hat on Nami's head and her recalling the moment in the past where he told her his hat was his treasure, and we've seen how protective Luffy is of it, is such a powerful moment. He put ultimate trust in her and said wait for me. If he doesn't come back to get the hat once the fight is over, he was never fit to wear it. That's confidence 💪 And it also tells her that she's still one of them. That one small moment means so much, and I'm sure there's more that people can pull out of it. Dope reactions!
