It's so much fun to follow along you two seeing all this for the first time, especially knowing what's to come, yeah. It was amazing experiencing it for the first time, but sharing the experience with new fans is even better, in many ways. So this is an interesting thing about the Warlords: in Japanese, it's "shichibukai", which literally means "seven armed seas" or "seven war seas". (Shichi=seven, bu=arms/warrior/military, kai=sea) Warlords is possibly an easier way to construct it in English, but I really like the more poetic way it's expressed in Japanese. Yeah, the hunting contest is funny in more ways than how it parallels the duel of the Giants. You don't get much romance in One Piece, but occasionally there's a bit of innuendo, I guess, lol. Oh, and the giants call each other friends, but one of the words they use, "shinyuu", implies a very close, deep, and old friendship, where you have gone through significant events together. It's the same word Zoro uses when he talks about Kuina, for example.

AOT & OP i think are a healthy balance as well, AOT being more of a dark & gritty series, OP also has its serious moments but you get more wholesome, goofy & slice of life moments. Lol

From the lie/story Usopp told Kaya, Usopp landed on the giant goldfish dump and thought that it was an island. And there is some more little interesting detail I want to point out too, about that goldfish dump island (ofc I love to reveal that without spoilers contained in it). The giants duel said they landed on it in their old days and it was named as "Nothing At All" island. The permanent Log Post that Miss All Sunday teasing to give them was the "Nothing At All" Permanent Log Post, which is an island before Alasbastine.
