Luffy doing the Super Jet Gatling in this episode 309 was Epic! defeating Lucci that way. That is the furthest extent of Gear 2nd. u wont see one like that again! Even the whole 1000+ episodes. and Rob Lucci's Iron Body cannot keep up with the heavy speedy attacks. People still talking about this one even to this day!

Hello everyone! I joined the Patreon a few weeks ago but am only just now joining the discussion. Sorry about that hehe - life has been really busy but I have been watching your One Piece journey to help myself relax at the end of my days. Like you both I am rather new to the fandom though I did have a small brush with the anime as a child I did not watch the anime in full until the live action series peaked my interest. And then an insane binge started until I caught up -minus the newest arc as I want to wait until more episodes are out to start it, and I honestly needed to slow down lol. Anyway, I really got invested in the anime pretty fast as the Baratie arc solidified my interest with Zeff and his fighting cooks, and the development it provided for Zoro with his duel with Mihawk. I could have cared less about Don Krieg and Pearl-san (ugh) but Gin was a great foil to introducing Sanji's character and values, but let's just say I did not miss them in the live action series lol. My top three Strawhats at this point (Water 7 saga) in the series: Zoro, Robin and Luffy. Though honestly it changes almost every arc, and my favourite character that is not a Strawhat, maybe in all the anime, has not even been introduced yet. And to now end my super long intro by saying you are such open and genuinely kind people, and it is a great pleasure to re-live this spectacular story once again through your One Piece journey. btw luffys attack are still the same he just puts a jet before when he goes gear 2. so gomu gomu no pistol becomes jet pistol or jet bazooka. in gear 3 he adds giant. so still same attacks as in base form just get boosted and he either adds the jet or giant.

What an amazing song choice with 'I Need a Hero'—it's upbeat and nostalgic, instantly taking me back to my younger years. This song perfectly complements the emotions we feel while watching One Piece, enhancing the experience with its energy and sentiment. I vividly remembered the first time I read the iconic manga panel decades ago where the Going Merry came to their rescue; it was truly epic and brought lots of tears to my eyes. God, watching Usopp bait Lucci away from Luffy is amazing. Up until now, Usopp has lied to try and scare his enemies off. This is the first time I can think of where he lies to make himself a target. On top of that, he does it without a hint of his normal fear, knowing that even Luffy was having trouble against this guy. The character growth is insane. I also love the fact that Luffy kept his word, and didn't go down until he beat Lucci. Plus, the animation in that scene was amazing. I also agree, the Voice Actors do a phenomenal job, and the score was fantastic too. I also loved Tintin growing up! My Grandma got me into the series and bought me so many of the books. I actually used to have some episodes of the radio show version on tape. I'd listen to them before bed like EVERY night!
