oooh oooh, here's one lesser known reference here with the wolves. There's an asian joke trope about bandits. They say things like "This road was paved by me, these trees were planted by me, you must pay a toll to pass" and stuff like that. That's basically what the wolves were saying before Nami hit them hahahaha. Basically the cloud wolves act and talk like the "good bandit trope".

Oda was once asked, what his 3 most favorite scenes from the story. We will see the other 2 in the future, but @17:52 was his favorite moment in the story to draw, infer what you want from that because this scene does become significant to what Luffy is as a character which will be understood as the story unfolds.

I love that campfire scene and the crew kinda needed it to recharge after being separated, you know Luffy is getting stronger after the ordeal of spheres and Sanji’s cooking 💪😋 Eneru’s introduction of him beating up the three remaining priests was a dope way to show that he’s on a way higher level than anybody they’ve gone up against so far…this is the guy who took Gan Fall’s place so he’s really going to be a problem and he still has quite a few guys serving him.
