I love how much you guys fell in love with anime! It's a great idea that you guys kinda stick with one show per niche (like One Piece as the main action/adventure show, AoT as the horror show, Death Note as the thriller etc.) What else are you guys interested in? There's goofy comedies, slice of life dramas, romcoms, sports, shows about unlikely families, whatever floats your boat. The community can then help narrow it down^^

Well I didn't say they had to watch it right away, sometime in the future is what I meant. 😬 And I dont mind if they sample some and decide which one catches their interest the most to dedicate more time to. They could drop the ones they aren't vibing with, because I rather watch them when they are truly invested, than feel forced to watch.

Yesss, I think because there are so many good ones you want to explore it now especially how we hype these other ones. But yeah understandable. Also u guys being filmmakers, this new medium is just so interesting that you want to learn from it. and honestly with me writing books, I have many WIPs and some of em are inspired by animes I love. But yess, we don’t wanna gatekeep u guys from exploring other animes, but I think as long as we get ample OP content, I don’t think we’re gonna complain. Love you guys!

And so it begins ~ Water 7! The start of so many great arcs. I love so many of the points y'all brought up. When the crew splits up we really get to see different dynamics between the straw hats. I love seeing everyone's interactions with each other. Every one is so uniquely written that you'll get something special with each interaction. But definitely when the crew is together everyone truly shines best and anything feels possible. I'd say (interestingly) it's a big theme in the water 7 arc. 🙂

I'm so hyped to see you both watch Water 7 and onward. Me crossing my fingers that you give My Hero Academia a chance sometime, while it's super hero comic book inspired, it has good pacing, nice balance of comedy and emotional scenes, has some inspiring moments. There is a massive cast of side characters, but they do decent job at introducing them and then reminding you who is who and what they can do, etc.

Oh man I totally forgot about Katekyo Hitman Reborn, it sadly never animated the final arcs in the manga. I loved that series though, it was pretty popular back in like 2007-2010 (when I was in highschool lol).

If your looking for a new anime, there is one that didn't take off like it probably should have. It first aired during the Peak of the big 3 (one piece, bleach, and Naruto) so it never took off. The anime is "Katekyo Hitman Reborn!" it starts of as a comedy then turns into a serious action comedy. It is one of my favorite shows but it never got the attention it deserved. It's a bit silly during the first ark but gets really good.

Water 7 and what follows is definitely one of the best arcs in One Piece for a lot of fans! It’s probably in the top 3 for me, the creativity and storytelling is unbelievable.
