the problem with JJK is that it is too short :D its only 40 something episodes but they are all very high quality. would love to see you stick with it ^^ it's a super "fun :)" ride even tho it is a bit short currently :)

Since One Piece wasn't even nominated for anime of the year this year....JJK absolutely deserved it. JJK is incredible!

JJK for me is the best one in terms of more recent animes, the world building is fantastic, and there are some horror elements here and there which I enjoy! The plot does not go what I expect every time, and it's very fast paced, almost feel like it condensed 20 episodes into one (compares to all the old classic animes).

If you wanted some other genre like in the mecha sphere, (Eighty-Six 86) is highly recommended I believe only 2 seasons 12 or 24 episodes per season. Hope you find that one anime to stick with!

Crazier part is you're really only hearing about more recent titles and people haven't been digging back to the stuff from the 70's or 80's back when they really started cooking! things like The Castle of Cagliostro(1979) which Steven Spielberg said is one of the best films ever made or something like the original Mobile Suit Gundam(1979) which was pivotal in bringing more real/human stories to the medium.

Demon Slayer was first to begin publishing, hence why it's not part of the Dark Trio. Also it just doent fit aesthetically. All the others aimed toward the same tone.

If I remember correctly they don't call it the Big 3 anymore because both Naruto and Bleach are finished. They Call it the Big 1, for One Piece, cause its the only one still ongoing from that time period.

Jujutsu Kaisen! Finally, this show is amazing and is heavily inspired by Hunter x Hunter's writing style, which is a very unorthodox story structure, but everything makes sense somehow.

Oh man, I’ve been into this series before it got an anime adaptation. It’s very good and the fights can get very technical. Season 2 won anime of the year for 2023…which I firmly disagree with because I think Vinland Saga season 2 had way better writing and developments.

I think demon slayer will be up in ur alley…it’s about family also. And have to agree with Heather, 1k episodes sounds a lot and seems like a long long journey, but it will be so quick, maybe like 2 years to catch up or less. You dont wanna be a weekly watcher, it’s the worst about being an anime lover. Enjoy, savor it, dissect it. I suggest picking one, either Death note or another vibe anime like JJK rather than doing them at the same time.

I think I mentioned before that JJK will be in ur alley coz it’s horror thriller that u guys like. So no doubt t u’ll love this. It was my fave when it just came out of all the new ones. Plus Op and ED are bangers, I didn’t skip it every episode, just jamming to it. Lol Popular with guys coz animation and fighting scenes. Also very popular with girls coz obviously hot anime boys lol.
