The context changes the entire scene from just asking Luffy to call her by a specific name based on western understanding. While in context from my view she is shyly yet boldly pursuing Luffy romantically and as she is from an island of only women and has no idea how to pursue a man, she is doing pretty good. Pity her target is Luffy probably the most unconcerned about such things.

Ace took his mom's name instead of dad's, yes. What an amazing set of episodes and end to a great great mini arc at Amazon Lily. We got introduced to so many new ideas, like Haki, and tragic backstories, while the world around us is MOVING, fast. Although Luffy was the only Strawhat we saw, he really shone brightly. His character-portraying moments reminded us of exactly why he is a top 3 character on everybody's list as well as in our hearts. :')

It's makes a ton of sense that Hancock would fall in love with Luffy. Every single man Hancock has ever met up till Luffy only ever saw her as an object or used her and her sisters in the most vile and disgusting ways. Oda never outright tells us what happens to the sisters but it's clear how horrible it was from Sandersonia's reaction to thinking about those days. So every man she' met (with the exception of Fisher Tiger but they didn't really meet she was just freed by him) has been irredeemable garbage, and then she meets Luffy. A man who actually sees her as a person, who does not see her as a sexual object, who doesn't let her bs slide (a front she puts up because of all she's been through), he sees right to her core and treats her like an actual person, her own followers don't even treat her like a person they all worship her, and then there's this guy who hates the celestial dragons and isn't afraid to hit one of them, and doesn't care that she was a slave. It makes so much sense that she would fall for someone like that. Luffy literally shattered her world and it will be fun to see where things go from here.

Bao being so in love with Luffy makes me love her so much. Only people very close to a person will call them by their first name even more so without honorific's such as san[mr./mrs] or sama[respected person for Bao]. More so for a man to a woman which would be used by immediate family, someone known since young/close to, or someone you are in a relationship with. Bao blushed when she let Luffy call her by her first name as it can be taken in the context of them being close. This can also cause their relationship to be misinterpreted as a couple. In my head cannon is that she allowed Luffy to call her by her first name to claim Luffy as her man. Extreme? Maybe but I am Team Luffy x Hancock!

Need to clear something up... Hancock didn't become beautiful because of the devil fruit (she was forced to eat). She was already going to become such. However it was a blessing in disguise since everyone views her as a sexual object and she is able to use that to her advantage. The main reason imo as to why she falls in love with Luffy is because he treats her as a person first and foremost and not as others do and because of this she feels safe around him.
