Oars is the biggest factor in my hate for rewatching this arc love everything else but that one thing being changed would make it perfect sorry oars fans he's terrible pointless and just boring.

It's crazy how oda thinks about every way he can teach you a lesson like with chopper meeting Dr.Hogback, the lesson being " Its not worth meeting your idols because they are sure to disappoint you". This may not be true for 100% of all Idols/Heroes but with the vast majority, you can say this is true.

The thing Chopper was confused by when Ussop was trying to save Nami from Invisi-Perv was that he had Sogeking's slingshot (new larger style of slingshot) - he still does not know that Sogeking is Ussop's alter-ego...*cough cough* I mean that Sogeking gave it to Ussop....hehe

i disagree with the samurai part, having brooks shadow is a massive downgrade and hogback didnt powerup samurai body either since it long passed its prime he just made sure that the samurai body was in best shape in the conditions it was in. he did the best he could do but old dead body stays old dead body no matter what. in general always remember only the original soul can use the corresponding body the best since it knows it best there is a good example with goku and ginyu. ginyu is really strong but goku is far stronger when they did soul swap ginyu only got weaker becuz he didnt understand how gokus body functions. mind and body didnt match. in other words the full potential of the samurai body only the left soul could have awakend. we dont know how strong oars was either back then.

Well you guys are gone if you need a short series I recommend Space Dandy. The director is from cowboy Bebop. Brooks English VA is the main character. Plus it has numerous All Star animators the music is amazing and the dub is one of the funniest things you could watch. It is basically a bunch of short stories and it is a genuine joy to watch from intro to outro. Ep 17 is my favorite

The Zombie's often take the name of the body the zombie is made from, especially if the person was famous during life. While the personality and fighting abilities will be from the shadow. If a strong shadow is put in a weak zombie, it will limit its fighting ability like when Sanji's zombie said, 'this body is too weak'. I thought that the bodies were further enhanced by hogback.

You are right. The strength of the zombie depends on the strength of the dead body and the stolen shadow. Strong body + strong shadow make super strong zombie. That’s why Brook couldn’t defeat the samurai. He wasn’t fighting against himself and that’s it. He was fighting a master swordsman samurai + himself. That’s also why Oars is dangerous. He was bigger and stronger than a giant when he was alive, and now he still has that strong body + Luffy’s shadow, hence personality and powers. Looking forward to the next couple of episodes, some of my favourite :-)
