The effect of Strawhats on ppl they meet, good or bad is so so special. Now we have Duval and his gang when we need them. And Nami saying Hachi’s takoyaki was good was sooo big of Nami. She might’ve not forgiven him yet, but that smile she gave was enough at that point. I really love the fact that even old enemies can become friends, and people, even if not most, can change and deserve a second chance. Oda-sensei teaching us these values and informing us of worldly problems have always been a constant about OP and that’s why I think it’s such a good anime because it teaches you to become a better person. No matter what generation you were born, OP teaches u so many things that you can learn from. It’s so timely.

Fun fact (and i think this is true?🤔): One of Oda’s favorite scenes from One Piece was that very small 5 second interaction with Usopp and Robin where she touches the resin and then rubs it on Usopp’s pants, and that scene was just such a lighthearted interaction! It was just a playful moment with Robin’s often understated (subtle) sense of humour and her just interacting with the crew in her own way, and Usopp with his exaggerated reactions as always🤣 It just adds to the world-building of one piece where amidst all the adventures , they’re all just a group of nakamas enjoying their journey together and that scene just added a little bit of realism and like relatability , making their world feel lived-in and authentic!

Hachi said they are "WORLD nobles" so they are superior on the whole world.... also, i was in a coma due to COVID THE ONE NINE. I think it was the combination of the elevation of Colorado and covid messing up my lungs. He is most likely referring to the word play with Franky (referred to as "pervert"). 変体 translates to hentai but written like this 変体 means transformation or body alteration or something like that. While written like this 変態 is used to call someone pervert. Hentai is not just pervert in the sense we know but it also means weirdo or freak. It is commonly translated as pervert, but most people see the word pervert as in Sanji or Brook kind of pervert. In Skypea, Chopper once called Nami hentai because she was okay with exploring the upperyard as it involved treasure. The subtitles often translate this as pervert, which makes zero sense in some contexts. For Franky, the word hentai embodies him, he is over the top and very weird, and he is totally proud of it. Whenever someone mentions the word hentai/freak, he would see it as a compliment.

I’m always surprised by how oblivious the SH are when it comes to how the world government hierarchy works. Then I remember that the world is huge, communications are far and scarce and people are mostly confined to their own islands, so it would not be easy for them to fully grasp certain things. People in Sabaody know better about the World Nobles and stuff, because they live close to Mariejois and see them on the archipelago.

What they said in this episode about the World Nobles: Residents of the Holy Land Marie Jois. This location has been shown before a couple times already. If you remember, the Gorosei (5 Elder Stars) are stationed here. They are the old guys who talked about Shanks and Whitebeard meeting, back in episode 151. They are the de facto leaders of the World Government. Higher position than Admirals (like Aokiji) and even the Fleet Admiral (Sengoku). A lot of info, I'm sorry.

What a nice surprise! I am surprised by how wholesome and funny these episodes are! Also, Jason has a good memory--it was Wanze, the CP7 cook that Sanji fought and rearranged his face. You two have probably noticed by now, but remembering details and characters definitely is rewarding as they often tie back into the story. (like Hachi, too)
