Thank you Oda for giving us Luffy (and the Straw Hats). In the past 25 years I lost count of the times Luffy brightened up my day when life was being tough or harsh. Every time I needed a moment to escape reality, Luffy was there to make me laugh and to remind me to actually enjoy this life, and not take things overly too seriously. Go out there every day and have fun, and aim for happiness. You are right, Inaki does embody Luffy’s kindness.

Oda is known for being quite private and reclusive when it comes to his personal life. Can you imagine how many times he would be stopped walking around in Japan? Also, Japanese fans can get crazy when it comes to their favourite manga and some have been known to become violent, stalking and even sending death threats to mangaka. The only pics available of Oda are from about 20 years ago or so. But this only adds to the mystery of OP, so fans can focus on the story and not the author.
