Damn I missed this :( but I loved all the discussions and going forth with which anime to continue next with! Honestly, a strong suggestion from me and you guys would love it because i find it the most relatable show (and you’ll see what I mean) is Frieren and it’s just 28 episodes and I have no doubt you both will love it :) In a nutshell (without spoilers) - Frieren is about the weight of time, the regrets of what we left unsaid, and it’s a journey in understanding people even after they’re gone . That’s my pitch and I promise you’ll be teary eyed almost every episode 🥲

Hello Heather and Jason, i'm a long time lurker but this my first time commenting. First of all i love your videos! I'm looking forward to them every day!! I've just seen the livestream and I thought I might just write my thoughts here as well. There have been a lot of recommendations and obviously everyone has a different taste when it comes to anime. It's hard to choose so maybe you could react to anime trailers that people recommended to see if it's for you. Heather said she wanted something that everyone is excited about so the closest thing right now is probably either solo leveling or sakamoto days. They are both battle shounen, which means that the main focus is the action and a lot of times the story is kinda lacking and a little formulaic. They tend to be the most popular shows though so if you always follow the trend, you would only be watching battle shounen, which is totally fine but anime is so much more and you would miss out on shows with great animation AND a great story. Unfortunately the more mature shows are often times overlooked. It's the same with hollywood where movies like the marvel movies dominate the charts, even though there are way more unique and interesting ones out there (not saying though that marvel movies are bad lol). If i can recommend one show it would probably be chainsaw man because it's a little bit more serious, it has a modern pacing, the production is great and everyone is excited about it because the movie is coming out this year. My completely selfish wish would be for you to watch Ranking of Kings. The main character is like luffy or tanjiro, the animation is beautiful like a fairy tale and the story is wholesome but has a lot of action and dark scenes as well. Sorry for the bad english i'm not a native english speaker hehe. Love you guys, you are the best, keep it up. PEACE!!
