Ah these 2 episodes! Trebol is very triggering for me! I remember this arc well. His laugh is just grating, I know for sure my dad doesn't like his character at all, and it's the same for me. And again agree with the roller coaster of emotions with Usopp! But as a whole these 2 episodes the roller coast of emotions with Kyros and Scarlett's back story it didn't even click with me at all till Jason said it very Beauty and the Beast and for real it is! So much need tissues again had me all crying again. Just Oda peaking again with his writing! <3

I didn't mind what Usopp was doing. He had completely forgotten Robin's existence and what loyalty did he really owe the tatas? He doubts himself more than anyone else. Slef doubt can drive you to some real lows, so I actually loved the whole episod

Sorry about my comment earlier my apologies I haven't been mentally focused recently. I didn't want to inject my issue, but I too have had some seizure issues and struggles with the VA on appointments. And now for some reason I keep having brain farts and trouble with communication at times. This is included my issues with my equilibrium with walking and other things of that nature. Sorry 😞 😞 I don't even know why I said what I said when the arc specifically said Dressrosa.

Thank God it's because Usopp forgot about Robin, i know his character is a coward most of the time but there's no way he'd almost abandon her like that! With the little people it at least makes a little sense since all he was doing was lying to them and didn't really have that much attachment to them up to this point

Kyros being so happy and sweet made the present time story so much worse. Kyros saw himself as a beast for most of his life and right when was starting to feel human for the first time he is turned into a toy ugh. I don't know how other people feel about it, but I adore that Kyros puts on gloves so that he doesn't "dirty" his pure daughter with his stained hands. It gives me the feeling of a Father who protect his daughter from everything not just physically but Spiritually? Theres a lot to talk about Kyros and Rebbeca later on. I think this might be my favorite parent child combo in One Piece (mainly because of Kyros) and there are a lot of good parent/children combos in One Piece.

Pretty sure I’ve said this before, but Oda is better at giving inconsequential side characters deep, emotional backstories than a lot of authors are with their main characters. Like, how does he make you feel something for someone who’s on screen for twenty minutes?!? And he does it times and times again!

When fans asked Oda why there’s no romance among the Straw Hats or in the main story, he would always reply that he’s writing shonen manga, not shojo manga. (Shonen refers to comics aimed at young boys, typically focused on action, fighting, or sports, while shojo targets young girls and often centers around love and romance.) He also admitted that he’s not good at writing love stories—so no romance for the Straw Hats. But then we got Kyros’s backstory, which was probably the first real love story shown in One Piece. And just look at what he did—within just one or two episodes, Oda delivered a magnificent, heart-wrenching romance that’s just as moving as anything you’d find in a shojo manga. So maybe Oda is just being humble or simply not that interested—but clearly, if he wants to write romance, he can outshine plenty of writers who specialize in it.

Heavy on being angry at usopp. He had me hot during this part during this arc. Like come on get it together. Especially since the TT soldiers had so much faith in him and were speaking so much life into him and who he is as a person. But we just have to take what we can get from him right now.
