I am sure that came as a relief to her at that moment. But I know she would have been happy with Einar, even after all that she endured... I can't in good conscience say that was the best outcome for her. But I'm hopelessly romantic... 馃槄

I know this might sound a little crazy but I鈥檓 glad arnheid passed away. I was hopeful when her husband came back and they tried to escape but then he died. Even after that I was still hopeful because I knew she鈥檇 have thorfinn and einar. But after the beating she took from ketil I didn鈥檛 want her to live anymore. That would鈥檝e been too big of a burden to ask of her. She deserved to rest after all the trauma she endured. After losing both of her children, her husband, and taking a beating as brutal as that I don鈥檛 know how you could write a happier or better future for her. That was the best possible outcome after all the events that occurred.

Yes, Heather is right. I think it might have been me who told you to look at VS like you would watch a drama like GoT and that was before you started it. Many more said the same after that. It's such a thought-provoking show! The emotions I feel with this anime are unreal! There is no other story out there that manages to portrait this amount of tragedy with such grace. And more so, a show that at the same time can be crude, gore and savage as no other! Talk about talent - thankfully, Makoto Yukimura (the mangaka) decided to share this incredible story with us. Arigato gozaimasu! 馃檹馃徏

"In exchange for losing your farm, your son has become a man." I love the contrast between Thorgil and Olmar. Olmar was this kid that grew up listening to stories about his brother and how "cool" war was, yet when faced with reality, he understood (a little late) that it was not for him, then he took responsibility and did the right thing, not by surrendering, but by defying his brother's ideals about "honor" and "pride". In the end, Thorgil just walked away because he never cared about honor or pride either, he just liked to fight and wanted to continue fighting no matter the cost.
