May Drawing Hangout This Friday!

New Patrons (there's a handful of you this month! hello!!): these hangouts are inspired by my pal Cara Bean (who is hosting her own drawing Zoom all about LEMURS this Tuesday at 6pm Eastern, so now's a good time to check her out). They're not intended as any kind of Art Class, more like a chance to make imperfect art together, listen to some good tunes, and remember that other people are out there, all over the globe, waving to each other in their own way.
The structure works as follows:
- 12-12:10pm: Folks roll in and get situated. You can keep your video off or on, whatever you prefer.
- 12:10-1:10: I share my screen and offer up a selection of images to draw from and tunes to listen to while we draw. (I usually keep each image up for the length of a song.) We make art! Messy and imperfect art! With whatever tools we like! It's great!
- 1:10-2pm: Whoever's still on the call and feels inclined introduces themselves and shares their art! This is a chance for enthusiastic validation of everyone's creative efforts, chit chat, hootin', hollerin', etc. Probably my favorite part.

And if you can't make the live call, I'll be adding a PDF of all the images we drew from as an attachment to this post on Friday afternoon.
