🕑 Added 2023-12-17 21:34:32 +0000 UTCHi lovelies. Just updating you all. My hometown yesterday was flooded. Things were looking ok after the cyclone but then because it didn’t continue moving it has rained over a metre of water, with it the worst flood in Cairns’ history. My family’s business and home experienced flash flooding. And they couldn’t move out enough equipment or personal belongings in time.
They are safe at the moment but not sure how high the levels will reach as they haven’t reached its peak yet, some places are 8m high. Roads in every direction are flooded and cut off and the airport has been closed down because that too was flooded so there’s nothing I can do at the moment as I can’t fly in to help them once water recedes. I’m going to be posting and filming as usual this week but if I don’t seem as perky that’s why. But I’d rather just hang with you all and try to take my mind off of it because it’s all a waiting game at the moment.
I have posted a link to what’s happening and our home and business is near the airport so the lower level you see some cars are, that’s what it was yesterday. If seeing images like that is a sensitive topic for you. Please don’t watch it.
There is so much awful heartache happening around the world at the moment it’s frustrating that this is added to it. No matter your situation, or where you are, I hope you are all safe and sound. Sending you heaps of love and hugs and if my situation changes I’ll keep you updated ❤️❤️

Thanks so much lovely. Yeah it’s frustrating because I can’t even book flights to go there because I don’t know when the airport is operating and I do have a couple more work jobs to do before Christmas 💔 making content is at least something that is a stress relief for me so I hope to film tonight when I don’t feel as crap

It’s actually crazy I’ll post a drone video of the area my house is in and it’s so lucky it’s not completely under. My family cat is still there on the second story because my family couldn’t get her as they rushed out. (She is one of those hide away and I’ll scratch the shit out of your types if you touch her)

Well, this just sounds awful, Tracy. I read up on the news, watched the videos and I'm so sorry that this is happening to your family and your hometown. I'm glad that you are able to communicate with your family but it must be so, so frustrating to not be able to do anything and to be wondering what is going to happen next. Please hang out here if it helps you but as others have said, don't be stressed out about producing content. And please let us know if there's anything we can do to help. Sorry to hear this, I can not imagine what you are all going through. Hope you take care of yourselves and stay safe.
