MP Development Update #37

If you're on our Discord server you've probably seen my updates about the covid situation.
But if you're not, long story short, it was worse than I thought and I stopped working to recover, but we're both feeling better now and I'm back to work.
I really hoped I'll be able to dodge this thing altogether until vaccination, but it got me in the end. My sense of smell is coming back already, so that's great. Small cough remains but I'm positive it will pass shortly.
Now I'm bringing you some news about Midnight Paradise.
After this downtime I started with picking up work on the main story again and it is an absolute blast to be finally working on it like I wanted. It feels like the early DoD days again:) I'm making the scenes with more care and attention than before and it feels awesome. Feels like I could spend the whole day working again without it being overwhelming. It's fun.
I've brought some previews as well as you can see above (some of them are still work in progress). You can see previews of a new mega location - Harding Tower. Much of the main story will take place here.
And I made a new character too. I know MP has more than enough female characters already, but it was necessary and she won't steal other ladies' screen times.
I'm also adding some more extras this time and I didn't forget the Elite scene, you'll be able to vote about who gets it soon.
No certain release date for now, covid really messed up my plans. But I'm back on track and this update is going to be bigger and better than what I thought it would be, so I think it's worth the added time. I'll tell you some stats about the release in the next dev update, but it's already past a usual update in terms of animation count and renders. Next Monday (or Tuesday) I'll be able to tell you a release date too. Until then, more previews during the week.
Thank you guys for the good wishes, it helped me in recovery.

Good to hear that you are getting better. Healthy first, so take the time needed for recovering
Ideally he should hire some more people to help him. Even just a dedicated renderer. But still, you got to cut him some slack for shit year 2020 was.

The tower looks cool, resembles the Sharif tower from Deus Ex.))) I'm glad that you and your half feel better. Although I can't imagine how people sitting in isolation manage to catch a covid. I live in Ukraine and work on a flexible schedule, but I still leave my apartment for work at least 3 times a week + trips to the store and hang out with friends. And even though I wear a mask at work and indoors, but not on the street.I didn't pick up anything, maybe it's all about giving my immune system a little challenge. I just noticed that those friends of mine who locked themselves at home and swam in the bathroom with a spirt were those who were sick more often over the past year. And I'm not talking about covid, common colds. In general, why is this monologue I'm glad that you and your girlfriend have recovered, I'm glad that you are working on the update. And I wish you good health and good mood. And give yourself some small challenges.)))

Been supporting for over a year now, and every 'development' update feels like another excuse for why there's gonna be delays, while making some promises for the distant future. It's really not that hard. Get your shit together man.
