That was pretty wild. Is this the only ending Flynn is destined to have; Regardless of any meaningful decisions we made in his route?

I doubt we will find out what happened to them in this route because the circumstances will likely be very different in Jenna's route. Chase is only bitten by the spiders because of Flynn's actions so I doubt this scenario will be repeated.

wow, I don't know how to feel after finishing that. there's so much left that we just don't know about what happened with the others and what exactly happened to flynn (although it's easy enough to assume). ive grown pretty attached to chase through the other routes, and seeing him in such a different light in this one was really interesting, but it sucks not knowing what happens with him. i just hope we learn what happened through another route or something

Not gonna lie, this ending was confusing and unsatisfying. It felt incomplete. I hope you don't leave this as the final ending. If anything, maybe an epilogue by Daxton or Carl explaining what happened to Flynn would suffice.

So Flynn has been possessed this whole time by Sam from the smoke room (and by extension also Chase)? Also honestly did not expect Sydney to be an otter... that "reunion" scene is so well done. But this ending is honestly much more difficult to follow than the other routes... I think this really goes to one of my main concern with Echo: there are many interesting motifs and story lines within and between routes but somehow it's just difficult to put them together as a coherent whole. I get it that the nature of the story means that it's not supposed to be "understood" in some sense but I've read stream of consciousness that's easier to follow...

wonder what happened to chase with that spider bite during flynns route. Did he end up dying and ending the hysteria while Flynn got absorbed by the entity? So much intrigue.

yeah, he mentions that he's the monster everyone has seen. Everyone has seen this kind of monster at some point, so I'm trying to think of what causes that. I'm also wondering why they left him on the lake? from what I can tell, this whole thing happens because they left him for no reason. Something I also noticed is that their is a "The End" screen even though we only have a bad ending. i thought only good endings had a The End title.

What a nightmare trip. To theorize about the ending, it looks like Flynn was led into the mine, though in his Hysteria-induced state he thought it was that bar with the "smoke room". Ultimately I guess he just kinda got mindscrewed and absorbed into the entity, seemingly some amalgamation of whatever influenced Sam, Syd, Chase, Flynn, and probably others, mixed with the leftovers of those who have been similarly absorbed into it. It could be that the host has to die for them to really be absorbed that way, and Flynn was led to just stand in a fire that was lit in the mine. The most interesting part is interpreting whether everything after that was only visions, or if Flynn's consciousness really did sort of warp through time to various points the entity was present at once he became part of it. I feel like that was younger Jenna's closet he ended up in right at the end.

Wow, between this, TJ's route and the other anomalies, Echo would easily get an SCP classification. Not sure if it would be classified as Euclid or as Keter.
