Goku wants to fight anyone that wants to fight him. He also wants to be not only be stronger than anyone he has ever met, hut also just always wants to be stronger than he already is. That being said, he feels the need to stop "bad guys" anytime he sees them. He took down Muscle Tower because the RR Army was oppressing and enslaving Sa-no and her village. He's collecting the Dragon Balls to bring someone back to life. He wants to help people and his best tool for that is usually stomping a mud hole in a bad guy and walking it dry.
