Serenity and Last Human

As I posted in my last devlog, I've been dealing with random BS over the last 2 months. And right now, I am stuck in a stupid round of creativity block and only a third of the way into coding/writing. More or less... writer's block. This doesn't happen to me often, but when it does, it is super annoying. I know you all have been waiting patiently for the next Serenity episode. I am considering shifting back to Last Human and do another episode for that one because I already have the next episode for episode 6 completely outlined. I'd need to write that one too, but I KNOW what is going to happen (the creative part of it is done... just needs to be 'worded'. These last few episodes of Serenity are, well they're a lot. A lot is going on and I need to be careful how I proceed because I don't want to leave you all with a shitty ending. I've done this before, where I ended up doing 2 episodes in a row on one of my games. I think it is time for me to play that card again and let Serenity cook a big. It will give me time to figure out how to get through the bunch of story blocks that need to take place.
Last Human: Episode 6 already has a great outline for a story that I am excited about. The episode will basically be their first adventure on the Aurora and takes place when they visit Acladia. Each LH adventure may be inspired by other stories from games, shows, movies I have seen, and this one has an interesting inspiration that most of you younger folks probably won't know anything about. Back in September of 2000, a Star Trek game released that was ahead of its time. Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. I won't tell you what happens in the game, but if you know the game already then you'll have an idea. LH Episode 6 will have a 'similar' situation our Captain and crew will have to deal with. I don't know if I will stretch it into 2 episodes or not, I think I can get it done in one episode, but we'll see. The outline for it is a bit longer than my usual outlines. It also coincides with their visit to Acladia to meet the Acladean Ambassador: Vlanna. It's a great episode.
Now, I could just try to push through this block that's going on and try to stick with the Serenity update, but these things are unpredictable. Maybe playing through my game as a dev friend suggested might help, I don't know. But I feel like I could knock out the LH episode a bit quicker if I get started on it now. But what do you think? Vote on it... I'm making this a public post so anyone can vote. I don't know if your votes will direct which way I decide to go unless it is overwhelmingly for one side or the other. But I'd like to know what the general consensus is. We'll run this vote for, let's say 2 days. Because if I decide to go with LH, I'd want to get started right away. But if the majority would prefer to wait for me to figure out Serenity, then I might decide to go with your feelings on the matter. Your feedback matters to me, after all.

Your work is awesome no matter which you do. I'm of the mindset follow where the creative writing flows from. If it's 2 or 3 in LH then 1 in serenity, Im fine with it π«‘

You do what you need to do, if Serenity needs more time to flesh it out, then let it wait. Do what your ready to do and keep going. Getting something done your in the groove for is better than forcing something else.

The idea of going back and rereading is a good idea. Also doing LH may give you time to get more inspiration for Serenity. This is something I do when I get stuck on a project. Clear the mind. Sometimes it even gives me some inspiration for the other. Either way I am more than happy for either LH or Serenity. Do what is best for you.
