This video showcases new effects I created using VVVV and OSC to control multiple parameters simultaneously. With this technique, I can move and rotate layers, adjust brightness, and animate all parameters using LFO sine waves. One of the effects is also synchronized with the kick drum in the music. To achieve this, I send a MIDI note from Ableton Live to VVVV via LoopMIDI. In VVVV, I use an ADSR node to set the kick drum's intensity—ADSR stands for Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release, which essentially defines an intensity curve. I then send this curve to 8 layers in Resolume to transform their Z-position, but with varying multipliers to create a dynamic 3D effect. The higher the layer, the more intense the scaling factor becomes. Scaling all layers by the same factor would look dull and ordinary. This is a powerful example of how OSC can control Resolume creatively.

Amazing showcase🥰you can do osc Control straight out of ableton via m4l devices named abl resolume from oovvee.There is another app called chataigne to bidirektional osc Like from resolume back to ableton. It‘s superb when using a Midi Controller and you wanna See which Button is on / off. In this example are you using vvvv only for osc Control?

yes a tutorial is on my list for resolume osc control. you can use any software with osc support like touch designer or vvvv

yes ! this is the reason why I rarely use it. in vvvv there is a damper node that can smooth values over time. this damper would be great in resolume for audio and all midi shortcuts as well. lets say I turn a midi controller knov fast and it smoothly takes 2 seconds to reach the new value.

Wish sound decay would be available in Resolume as well to reduce shaking
