The problem of being a Jedi is that they are emotionally castrated, so they need to limit their feeling or endangering following the dark path, the Sith are the other way around, so they will be too emotional, and the dark emotions usually make them change into something terrible. So personally I would take the path of the Grey Jedi, those who acknowledge their feelings, call the dark force but not fall into the sith.
