There's this whole city run by dog people called Goldpaw, and believe you me I've super enjoyed checking out all of the different doggo daddies that reside there. Nope, I just look at a lot of reference and have their hang/positioning/feel memorized by this point. Also, draw them a lot. Anything you want to improve at drawing, it's just practice and iteration with a critical eye.
