However, after his death at the hands of the Joker, he was resurrected from the Lazarus Pit into a new life as Red Hood. At first he thought to take his revenge on those who wronged him, even getting a group of petty criminals he could control he called the Red Hood Gang together. In time however, he began to feel remorse for his actions, remembering who he was and what he stood for when he was a hero. He remembered the found family he had at Wayne Manor, and especially his feelings for Alfred Pennyworth, his then butler and close friend. While Bruce had trained him to fight, hone his body, Alfred had taught him about literature and music. They had spent many afternoons in Alfred's room together, innocently enough in those days, but that was years ago and Jason had grown since then in more ways than one! Red Hood was not going to be so timid about his feelings for the older man any longer. He snuck into the manor on a night when he knew Bruce would be away and confronted his old friend - becoming more than a little surprised when Mr. Pennyworth admitted to a fondness for the young man that went beyond a mentoring role! Though Alfred still had his reservations, the two agreed to a new form of relationship, taking each step one at a time.
