I actually used to draw characters from this series, and was even working on a self-indulgent romance story about them back in the day and then I sort of forgot about them for many years. Very happily a friend recently reminded me of their existence and it rekindled my love for them all over again. Exile is the husky shown here, a Russian who often gets his English idioms a little mixed up. Blitz is the German Doberman who has a profound love of biting tushes, and he expressed this need in (I think) every episode. It wasn't a stretch to ship them then and as an adult it only makes more sense now. There was a lot of strange dare I say fucky energy between them. In one of the episodes they're in cold weather gear on a mission, so this just happens to be a sleeping arrangement in one of the tents... Though I don't imagine they'll be doing much sleeping! And in case you were wondering, 'попка' is Russian for butt. :P
