When you said "this was gutrenching and hard to listen to", I had to reflect for a moment because I found a different experience listening to it. I found it sad, but comforting. Then I realized it's because many times I have felt this way. Like the world hates me, and that I'm a failure, and that everyone is better off without me in their life. Honestly, that's how BTS found me. I was at a low point, like this song, and they helped me see that there are good qualities about me too. But those dark thoughts, especially now, creep back here and there

What a song. What a pair of ARTISTS. Honestly speaking, I don't know why this song hit me as much as it did. Because I cant really personally relate to either one of the issues mentioned in the song. But it made me think of my two little boys and it really made me want to hug them and tell them that they can talk to me about anything. Really, poor mental health is such a overlooked but prevalent thing in today's society. Trust RM and Tablo to make me think for days on a 3 minute song. Joon has spoken about his severe depression many times and released songs related to this. I think it comes with the territory of being a genius who overthinks too much and is tormented by his thoughts. Usually people with high IQ have low EQ but he is someone with both high IQ and EQ. Always is probably the most heartbreaking of those songs. You should definitely check it out. Also, Joons vocals on this song are sooooo mesmerizing and soothing. Can't get enough of it. P.S: you should check out the interview of Tablo and RM (no RM only chaos) on their epikase channel. Truly hilarious and gives some context to the song. P.P.S: I thought that sexy nukim is a younger brother of RPWP but I think this song is the younger brother of RPWP but the older brother of sexy nukim. The mention of being out of love and out of trust is talked about in more in detail in RPWP. P.P.P.S: It's gonna be the one year anniversary of RPWP on May 24th so it would be awesome if you could react to the documentary or the MV for Around the world in a day (with lyrics deep dive).
