There really were so many decisions that made no sense for people to do. Not to mention they are supposed to be intelligent people. And for anyone to just stick their face over the open egg is crazy but to do that after you JUST compared David to the Devil is eye rolling crazy.

Now that was...terrible! I loved the design of the Covenant but everything else suffered due to it having only one way it could end. I can see why I haven't watched many of these before lol Some trivia: Billy Crudup ruined the first few takes of his encounter with the facehugger. Having seen the original Alien he knew exactly what to expect, and couldn't stop laughing in anticipation. Sir Ridley Scott later commented on the scene "Only an idiot would stick his head over that open egg, but John Hurt did, so we have to revisit that." One character claims how it's strange that the world is completely quiet, no birds or anything. When David's study is shown it is revealed why: every last animal on the planet was killed off or mutated by the black mutagen that was released by David, or later infected by his mutagen virus.
