At 2:00, I cried out COMRADE! in joy, but somewhere around 14 minutes in I went straight to bitter. Because comrade, they really are that fucking dumb, and I'm afraid they're going to kill us.

I know she's stupid. . .and somehow an elected official. But i'd let Lauren bobert jerk me off in a movie theatre.

My favorite twitter thing is multimillion funny cat vids accounts which when the right time comes would post a hardcore russian propaganda 😁

I saw Vint Cerf talk once. He was one of the people who created the modern internet. One of the things he regrets is that the design of the internet assumed that bad actors would be removed from the system. In the 1980s, before the Internet was commercialized, this was true. If you got on Usenet and did some shit people would contact your provider and your provider would shut you down. If they didn't the rest of the internet would disconnect that provider. Fast forward a decade and the commercial Internet didn't care. If someone on AOL did something awful AOL didn't care and since AOL had a commercial contract their providers couldn't just shut them down. Now we live in a world where the commercial aspects of the Internet only work for most companies if the companies don't have to actively police what happens on their platform. If you go into a bar and say some shit the bartender can grab a bat and hasten your removal from the bar. Other patrons can make it very uncomfortable to be there. If you get on the Internet and say some shit, well, the platform just got more eyes. I'm convinced the commercial internet is fundamentally broken. The model just doesn't work. The world is not better for having it. Literally the only thing that makes it not completely awful in my book is that the ability to post videos so easily has shined a light on police abuse. That's the redeeming feature. There are bright spots of well moderated and regulated spaces that are awesome but those are outweighed by the effects Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and other similar spaces have on everyone.

I once heard someone say that "you can't separate the art from the artist cause the artist made the art, so therefore the art is as bigoted as the artist. Let's just say we don't talk anymore.

I used to do the same shit, but eventually I just stopped engaging. It's still hard sometimes. I end up typing a twenty page response and then delete it before hitting send. Hard to stay conscious when you're mad.

Guilty.🙋‍♂️ I do fall for the rage-bait/thirst-bait/click-bait on occasion. The question is: do I subconsciously realize it, but participate anyway??🤔
