I'd love to see how they're relationship progresses, if they have one that is? I do like long haired Dachi, he looks more wild and fun. He could even rock it longer. He's the type that could pull it off and look amazing😉. The sketch of him with someone holding his face while he clearly looks very sad kinda worries me.

Honestly, without this background, I don't think any of us would've suspected this was a jumping off point to older Dachi/Levi story you want to tell! Many thanks for expanding SWL into a full fledged prologue/introduction of these characters. We can see as you've gotten a hang of paneling and the pacing over the years, especially in regards to your art style. All that said, no apologies please, I like asking questions and knowing the background behind these sorta things, so thank you for indulging me!

I actually don't know if I want to be too specific about heights so I can kind of play with proportions when it suits me, haha. I did at some point think Dachi would be good at 6'3" to Levi's 5'11", but that he would keep growing into his 20s for a bit for some reason, which would excuse his even bigger height in full adulthood, but then I decided "lets keep it vague" haha I am not good at judging weight, but he's pretty good at soccer and basketball. Not married yet. :)

Thank you so much for the kind words and support! Comfy and wholesome is really want I want for my idea of a slow burn comic. I just want to explore a couple of kids navigate their feelings as they step into adulthood, largely informed by my own experiences. My main concern is that while there'll be plenty of fanservice where applicable, it's not going to be exactly dense with pornographic content, and I'd hate to disappoint people.

Good eye on the ball darkening, haha. They're his cheekspots color over his cream coat at 25% and 50% opacity, I think. The big thing making me hesitant with the prolonged comic idea is that I want it to be a romance more than porn... I want to throw in loads of fanservice, lot of passively hot scenes, nudity when appropriate, also uncensored pornography when it organically happens, but I really just want to tell the story of their blossoming relationship. 😅

Thank you so much! Yeah, this is a story I do really want to tell. It might not sell as well, because it is significantly less sex-dense than this version of the story is, but it's still something I really want to work on because I love these characters.

Dachi and Levi were both concepted from a story in their late 20s/early 30s. That's where they started from! 😊 Then, when wanting to do a practice comic before working on THAT story, I thought "I should do a couple-page long practice featuring them as teens". That nameless comic was supposed to just be a few pages of them hanging out, being cute, and then dropped in favor of the real story (just to get the hang of panels, layout, dialogue, etc) but so many people wanted to see it expanded, that I clumsily tried to broaden the practice comic and named it SWL. 😂 The roughness of the transition as I steered it from a throwaway practice into a self-contained short story means there are certain issues w/ pacing and writing, which is why I wanted to label this a pilot. I would probably want to retread this event in a slightly different way in the polished story. Sorry for wall of text 😭

I might be off base, but some of those sketched expressions give me the impression 29-year-old Dachi's been through some shit, emotionally. Definitely into the idea of Levi becoming more an emotional pillar for him.

I would very much love a Summer Won't Last slow burn, expanding on everything about the characters. Sure, the spicy things that show up are nice, but what captivated me at first was the incredible art, the way the story develops. It really is very comfy to read and really wholesome, so yeah I'd very very interested hehe

Man，I really enjoy the story of Levi and Dachi. I hope you can continue their story. Of course, it depends on your energy and physical condition. If possible, it would be great to narrate the story in the form of episodic dramas or chapters. This way, you will have ample time to come up with ideas, and the audience won't have to wait too long.

So interesting detail I noticed is that between the 2x Dachis is that there was a 10 year time jump planned originally? I suppose in that case, the current comic is a pilot, which makes sense in the context of you experimenting and finding a workflow for it--or more of a prologue. But personally speaking I'd be very interested to see Dachi/Levi be explored more and the setting you have created here beyond SWL Ch. 0!
