Going Back to 2 Audios Per Week
🕑 Added 2023-12-25 12:12:03 +0000 UTCHi guys, firstly Merry Christmas and I'm sorry you're getting so many updates and pings from me so many days in a row but... Well Christmas isn't a fun time for me, it's very stressful and anxiety inducing here due to a certain family member I currently live with and am trying to get away from (hence the rush to move out this year that I keep mentioning). And the stress from just this morning has me hiding out in my room and looking at my list of things I need to do and... I think this has been coming for a while now, and I think you guys can guess what I'm going to say next when I say that I'm burning myself out.
Until September 2023 I used to post 2 audios/videos every week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Then around that time Youtube started hitting ASMR channels with lots of demonitsation (meaning Youtube won't allow ads on that video meaning I can't make any ad revenue from those videos). Videos that were completely safe for Youtube and within their guidelines were just getting flagged and I was suddenly not making as much money. In that panic I suddenly decided on upping to 3 audios per week... This had been very stressful to maintain. I said back then that it probably wouldn't be forever, that I'd have to drop back down to 2 audios once I felt more secure or until I burnt myself out... Well... the later has happened. Youtube is still putting restricted ads on a lot of my videos. Out of the last 8 videos 5 of them have limited ads, now yes that does mean the videos could in theory have some ads but in my case it means where I would have made ยฃ1 I'm now making around ยฃ0.15. And while I know dropping to 2 videos a week will be a dip in income, it hopefully with be a net positive in my mental health and stress levels.
We'll be going back to just Wednesday and Saturday uploads starting in 2024, as I already have today's audio made and scheduled and it's a big special one that's taken a lot of time and effort and maybe you can consider it my little Christmas gift to all of you.
Nothing else is going to change. Patreon will still have 2 exclusive spicy audios every month, I'm still streaming on Twitch (every Monday, Friday and Saturday and sometimes other days too), I'm still doing Etsy, I still have art commissions open (though audio commissions are now closed). Audios will still be a mix of fandom characters, original characters, royalty roleplays and BFE's with at least one of each types of those audios per month. And having more time to work on the audios means I can spend more time planning out and writing more series (like the visiting king and villain x hero series which have been so popular with you guys and brought so many of here, thank you so much for being interested in them) and expanding on my original characters.
Thank you so much to my amazing Patreon members and those who come along to my Twitch streams, especially those that give subs or bits or donations. Because of you guys and your support I feel financially secure enough to make this decision.
