What To Do About The Outro? (Solved!)

Thank you to Primose Path for the idea of just saying the names of anyone who is a new member, so everyone's names get read aloud once. I'm going to take that idea and do it monthly, so anyone new for that month so that everyone who joins does get their name read aloud, but only for one month and then I'll record a new list of names every month. For example, January 2025's outro would have everyone who joined in December 2024s names read aloud (even if their subscription runs out mid-January, doing it monthly is just the most efficient way I can do this, I can't do a new one every week or video since I schedule uploads in advance). So we have a solution, thank you everyone for your comments, but you don't need to leave any new ones now I've chosen a solution. If anyone liked the idea of the extra tipping tier, my Ko-Fi exists and you can always drop an odd donation or set up a monthly donation over there, but I don't expect anyone to be doing that as you guys already support me so much already. Thank you!
So I'm sure everyone's noticed that my Youtube video outro of me reading every fledgling tier members name has gotten... ridiculously long. The last recording I of reading every name took 6 minutes and we've gained 50+ more Patreon members since then. I've wanted to talk about this for a while and kept putting it off but it has to be time.
The outro needs to be changed. I can't keep recording it, not that it's too difficult to read and type out every name, but it's not fair on a 10 minute audio to have an almost 10 minute outro. So I have thoughts and options and I need your guys input. And I'm sorry if anyone on the fledgling tier really liked having their name ready aloud, I don't mean to take a reward away from you but I presume most of you are here for the audios anyway not the outro.
Option 1: No one gets their name read aloud on the Youtube outro anymore.
Option 2: Make a new tier that's higher than the fledgling tier who's names will be read aloud. This tier's only extra reward will be the reading aloud. Essentially it will just be a tier for a bit of extra support or tipping. I've seen other creators have higher tiers that offer no extra reward and are just there to be essentially a tipping option. This new tier would be £15 (fledgling tier is £10, familiar £5, bloodbag £1).
Option 3: Make a new tier that's higher than the fledgling tier who's names will be read aloud, but also give it some extra reward. But I have no idea what an extra reward could be. I don't want to offer things I've seen other creators do like custom audios, nsfw art, calls or chats. I could offer a discount on my Etsy shop? I've really struggled to think what extra reward for this tier could be and I'd need your guys ideas. This new tier would be £15 (fledgling tier is £10, familiar £5, bloodbag £1).
Option 4: ...Any other option you can think of that I haven't listed here. I'm open to suggestions.
Do any of those sound like good ideas? Would you pick any of those options? Would anyone sign up for option 2 or any sort of tier thats 'no extra rewards, just for tipping/extra support' type tiers? I don't want to seem greedy by adding tiers like that though I've seen multiple creators have their regular reward tiers end at around £10-20 and then have 'just tipping' tiers for £20-£100. I don't know how many people actually like or use tiers like that though.
Whatever happens, everyone's names will still appear written on the outro screen, they just won't all be read aloud anymore.

while I thoroughly enjoyed hearing my name from Prince’s fabulous voice, I’ve been a Patreon long enough now that I concur with folks to pass that on to new members only. (So it’s Option 1 + something added) Personally I cant go any higher on spending per tier either, but I most see the value in the Etsy art discount (Option 3) if doing anymore tier specific creations (art, custom audios etc) is too much labor at this time. While I had many good reasons to join Patreon, I didn't sign up to have my name read aloud. It was really nice to hear it on Youtube the first time so I think your option of reading out new members would work.

I think that works! The podcast I was referencing only releases once a month, so it’s a similar timeframe.

I think option two is probably the best bet, as those who still want recognition can get it, plus it’s another way of showing their support to you and you don’t have to add extra stress over figuring out bonus rewards for the new tier outside of the name being read! I’ve seen other YouTubers who still show the names of their patrons but don’t read them, and others who only read out the new members. I hope you can figure it out!!!

Oh! That's a really good idea. I wouldn't be able to read out new Patreon names every audio though as I schedule Youtube uploads a week in advance, sometimes even earlier than that, so that I don't miss an upload. Hmm. It would have to work like December' 2024s audio outros would say the names of everyone who joined in November 2024 (since anyone who joined on the last day of November would still have access up to the last day of December if only joining for a month). Maybe that could work?

No that makes complete sense, personally would be more than happy to go with option 2 but I'm also not fussed about the name reading thing, if it wouldn't risk burn out maybe an extra SFW short audio for one of the OC series, could do a poll and release towards end of month start of next? Only if you'd be able to tho!!!

Im good with not having my name read out. Like a couple of people have mentioned, i think reading out new subscribers would be a good way to bance things if people still want names read aloud. Maybe reading out the previous months new ppl, so you dont have to do a new outro for every vid?

Thank you for the ideas. I don't think I'd be able to do some sort of monthly sticker/pin club. I know I either won't have the time or will get stressed and burnt out. Also since Patreon changed how/when people get charged there's no easy way for me to do physically shipped out rewards on Patreon anymore and you can't make Etsy listings private to a particular group of people. I do want to make more merch of my ocs, but I think putting them behind a Patreon tier would just mean I'd sell a lot less than if they were public on my Etsy and then would struggle more to break even on the manufacturing costs.

A podcast I follow reads the names of new Patreon supporters in every episode - so, every person who is a new supporter since the last episode aired gets their name read. Everyone’s name gets immortalised, but the list never becomes ridiculously long.

Definitely something that has been noticed, mix of option 3 and 4, if you're okay with it obviously, is a seasonal bundle for the new tier rotating between oc's like the Love Bites series or the Guilty Priest or the Royalty Series, maybe a mix of stickers or pins or something of the like? Or maybe just a general discount code they could apply at check out? Just a couple ideas

I'm very confused. Why would I make a second Discord? /gen /nm. Unless you didn't know I already had a first one? Every tier including the bloodbag tier has access to my Discord and always has since the beginning of my Patreon, and I've been chatting, sharing early artworks, hosting watch parties and more for years now. And I wouldn't move the Discord to a different tier. I also already livestream on Twitch every and have been for years, I wouldn't move streaming to Discord and lock out all my Twitch followers and subscribers.

Maybe once a month do a set video for patreon subscribers on YouTube where you read out their names so they don’t feel left out but also people don’t feel like half of their videos are being cut for patreon members?

I believe that it could be a brief mention to Fledglings as a whole. Rather than reading every single name it could be "And thank you to the [number] of my fledgling tier patrons" Maybe a small list of the latest top ten subscribers to the tier?

maybe like towards the end of the audio, u can do like a montage of the names of the users ? i’ve seen other asmr artists do that ^^
