Regarding Michael’s car, it probably is because the company lease term was up, but I always thought it had to do with the Money episode. Michael eludes to having to trade in his car and Jan’s and getting just one car, a Porsche “for her”, shared between them.

His car was a company car I think. Also, I did think it was funny how Ryan was so excited to help Pam and finally took it seriously at the end.
