Totally agree, its hard to put into words just why. Maybe its the "open ending" of the episode. The music combined with idea that the world just opened up for endless possibilies for ted and barney together. Fun nights, binges and hangovers. I love this ending because its the start of a new "hope". One of my favs

The final scene here between Barney and Ted is a contender for my favorite scene in the series, and it's hard to put into words exactly why that is. I guess the short answer is just that it's a really good example of the value of their friendship.

If you remember the episode where Barneys Brother James first appears it is teased that Robin and Ted would break up within a year. In the end when the couples are tired and sit down Robin and Ted dance together suggesting they are single again
