Yeah a reaction would definitely be amazing. And yeah he just completed the best 4 album run I‘ve ever heard apart from OutKast and MAYBE Ye. Absolutely insane what he’s been doing and he said he’s aiming to drop next year as well. I‘m hoping we get some more of him and Marci in the near future cause they’re like the Godfathers of the underground and an impeccable duo 🤞🏻

He got scrutinized by the NY Times in 2016, they ‘exposed‘ him as an Anti-Cop fire captain.. He alludes to that sometimes in his lines. Also on this one he says something about 9/11 so he actually might‘ve been one of the heroes that were there that day. Crazy

I’m glad y’all fw Ka. Incredibly dope lyricist. Y’all had the same reaction I had when I first heard this album. Can you believe he raps as a side passion? He is a captain of a fire department in Brooklyn. He tried coming up in the 90s (under a group called Nightbreed, you should check it out on YouTube. The demos are fire), but it didn't go well, so he became a firefighter. His first official album (years later) was only supposed to be for himself and his close friends. Something he could have at least said he accomplished in music. But somehow his wife was able to get it in the hands of GZA, and that’s how Ka ended up in his 2008 album. That’s all she wrote from there. Crazy story. Dude is like a hero in real life haha and he’s crazy with the pen

I had to annoy you fam 😂 Glad you loved it. I listened to it like 20 times at least and y‘all still caught some bars that I didn’t even pick up on, it’s crazy how you can catch new shit on every listen. Bar for bar easily the best lyricist ever to me, the way he puts his shit is so amazing and the depth is unreal. And the craziest part is that this is probably his worst out of his last 4 and it‘s better than a lot of people‘s best shit. If you find the time a reaction to “Honor Killed The Samurai“ would be amazing too, one of the best albums of the decade fs. And the concept of that is much more prevalent than with this. I won’t annoy y‘all with that for the foreseeable future tho 😂
