I’m a 53 yo “foundational” Black American woman who grew up in and with Hip Hop culture who is not up on current artists and events — but even I heard about this beef. 😂 Thank you for walking me through it. I’m curious if you all have heard the theory that the lyrics at the beginning of the Not Like Us video are a list of songs Drake took lyrics and/or flow from. Sadly, I don’t know any of those songs, and even if I did, I don’t know any of Drake’s songs. I know you are wonderful students of hip-hop, and a do great job explaining things. Not trying to give you more work, just curious about your thoughts.

Disagree, I think if the allegations from Drake are proven and due to the amount of sketchy evidence out there. It completely changes how everyone views Drake and a guy they’ve loved for a decade and a half they gotta abandon and condem. And that’s a lot to deal with lol he even says in not like us reaction, it makes him wanna get back into it but he gotta hold back

I watched Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us reactions a few times, and I feel like Darae lost a bit of respect for Kendrick. You can tell, and he even said it, on the Not Like Us reaction, he wasn't there like in other reactions. I may be wrong, just my thoughts.

Any chance yall ever revisit Kendrick’s “Buried Alive” on take care and “Poetic Justice” on gkmc for a video? In one he dissed him on his own album and the other he got Drake to diss himself—he wrote that poetic justice verse for him and is talking to the audience through Drake. Sounds crazy but drakes verse makes no sense otherwise.
