I also think that if Drake had ever made reference to being a Pac fan, it would feel different. It feels like Drake only bought it to spite Kendrick, with whom he already had beef, and has been a huge documented fan. MJ’s glove makes much more sense that the ring, as a rich fan purchase.

The moment of Kdot rapping to Solo is also very special because it's like a final acknowledgement between them both. OG TDE fans will remember that Kendrick looks up to AB-Soul A LOT. Originally J rock was the super star of TDE, and Soul was the lyrical Genuis and Kendrick was the new under dog. Soul tool Kendrick under his wing and helped him push his pen way beyond what Kendrick thought possible and now this is like it coming full circle, like passing on the torch and blessing. Kdot paying respect to his close friend that helped push him to heights he didn't know he could reach. This isn't to say Soul is washed or anything because of course we've seen what he can do on a track, but that's the kinda dude Kdot was training with.
