I think both lists are pretty accurate, the only thing that actually suprised me was that the both of you didnt include Don Toliver. This was his biggest year in the rap game and he really stepped up in his Album Hardstone Psycho. He also delivered on his feat. like on Vultures 2 for example.

great conversation. think both of y'all gave fair lists. I'm surprised Derae thinks drake at 6 might be crazy. i actually thought he was gonna be top 5. I had Kendrick winning the beef easy but can't downplay what drake did either. I would have had him at 5. I think I would have had Em at 2 or 3 (going by Derae's criteria, the skill commercial success (sold the 3rd most for a rapper in 2024), the grammy nominations and still had good features). Kendrick, Em, Cole, Future would be my top 4. You know what, I just remembered wagwan delillah and maybe drake really should be at 10😂. That shit was horrible On Cole, I hated Port Antonio, felt it was too hypocritical from Cole but might delete later is fire so that gets him there plus Plate of collard greens is my favorite rap verse of 2024. Finally, I don't think Cole has a chance of being more successful than Kendrick in 2025. Kendrick will start the year with superbowl, move to his grand national tour with sza, probably release the deluxe to GNX and who knows wtf else that short demon got planned. Cole only has The fall off and the expectation is so high for that album that the reviews for the album might not even be fair given the expectations. Salute to you guys. Happy New Year

Dope lists! I definitely agree with Kenny at 1. I actually don’t think Tyler is too high. He released a great project, and it was one of the most commercially successful of the year. Plus the relevance was there- his festival, biggest crowd reaction at the pop out show, etc

I was about to say this year’s easily been the best of the decade so far, but I think the beef and Kendrick’s run heavily skews it. Some of the albums from 2022 are still heavily in my rotation, and I’m curious what you guys think.
