The closest thing to another album that transitions fluidly is Pink Floyd’s albums, and the fact that The Weeknd is operating at those levels makes him one above of all. He always drops AOTY in January and this album is perfectly transitioned from Dawn.FM and also into House Of Balloons… insane artistry done to the highest quality in many different aspects simultaneously. Travis Scott was the perfect feature for the song in portraying the drugged out side of The Weeknd and why he does what he does.

im just making this comment as i dont see many people talking about it. Many songs (Mostly in Without a Warning) refer to him when he lost his voice mid performance in sofi stadium back in 2022. While there was some people were understanding, there were also people booing him. He expresses his frustration and fears but also a creeping doubt of how long he can be "the weeknd" for :(. Great review guys <3

The Weeknd made this last trilogy to end his persona as The Weeknd and let it die ( the persona that went through all the trauma and the twisted Hollywood life, so that he can grow as Abel , but he made it clear that he is never going to stop making music , I don’t know if he is just going to change his career name , or what are his plans , but at the end of the album you can hear him seek for heaven and peace and hoping it’s not late for him to leave all that scary Hollywood shit

So a little bit of info about Hurry Up Tomorrow. This is SUPPOSED to be his LAST album as The Weeknd as you two pointed out but he hasn’t confirmed nor denied whether or not he will follow through with this, as he stated that he feels he said all he can say as this character, but not much else beyond that. As far a films go there is a film coming out in May of the same name. It’s gonna star The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, And it is slated to be a Psychological Thriller. Now as far as the track list there are two versions that I know the OG pressing vinyl only has 11 tracks and is 41 minutes. And then there’s the version that we got it’s unknown why this was done or what inspired this as the lead single from the album Dancing in the Flame was cut from both versions of the track list. Some think it’s because it flopped others think it may be due to the LA wildfires. There’s all the info I know so far thanks for the reaction as always stay dope as usual guys.

The rhythm on the first half of Cry for me is very distinctively a brazilian funk type instrumental with the snares. on são paulo the rhythm is very similar but using the distorted bass which is typical of brazilian funk music from the São Paulo state. As a brazilian, im very happy to finally see our culture influencing worldwide artists. And btw Anitta is saying some wild shit on this track, dont even search the translation 😂
