I seriously think y’all would love OT the Real, he’s done work with Benny and BSF, and is i believe signed under their label now. His recent project with Fuego Base was so fire. Worth a check if you like bars about shit people lived in the streets, which i know yall appreciate as much as the next person

I'd say take your top 5 best albums from the each of them and then put them on a best to worst list out of 10. I'm thinking 808s, Late Registration, Dark Twisted, and Graduation would beat Good Kid, TPAB, Damn, Mr. Morale, and GNX. Kendrick does have a good match up here but still Kanye favored IMO. But if we're talking entire discography, you still have to factor in that Kanye has even more with College Dropout, Life of Pablo, Donda, WTT, and Yeezus.

Oh yeah that Daylyt video gotta be right around the corner. Let's gooo! Haha right guys?

You are correct. I gave a point and a counter point. Then stated shits fucked. So people are doing fucked shit. But generally liberals don't do crazy shit and that clearly isn't working. Hence, I ain't mad at it. Especially since they built it so that it's dead on arrival (It's not worth getting actually upset over.). Plus we are here talking about Women's reproductive rights on a Hip Hop patreon channel. So I can't say it's a bad marketing move. We should blame ourselves for being so addicted to sensationalism that this is how politics have to be for people to pay attention.

It’s still dumb because the whole thing is based on a false equivalency. There’s no laws saying women can’t have sex without the intention to get pregnant. There’s no laws saying women can’t get impregnated without the intention of carrying to term. Abortion also is terminating the child of a man and a woman not just a woman therefore anti-abortion laws are not just regulating women but men too.

The crazy bill isn't getting passed. They know that. So it's not a get back. It's just political theatre. Although you could make the argument that its so sensational that it takes away from the point they are trying to make. But the point is that the way fellas react to this bill is the same way ladies react to laws regulating their bodies. The difference is that those laws get passed. Worst yet, it was literally on the books that the government shouldn't control their bodies and they then wrote over that shit! So the alternate argument is that times are drastic and as a result their taking drastic measures. Which considering it 100% won't get passed (it specifically discriminates in favor of the LGBTQ community by design), is it REALLY that drastic? Especially in the current political climate? Liberals in the US either get side eyes for doing too little or doing too much. Meanwhile, the Conservatives are moving like Hitler during his rise to power. We are DEFINITELY at that point.

Kendrick saying that he always tries to be present is so telling. Every album is a time capsule into what he's been feeling between the last drop and the current. The only reason we got so much Kendrick last year was because he had a lot of opinions to get off.

To me, Kendrick is the goat. The discography, ability, respect, and now undeniable cultural influence takes the cake for me. I view him and Jay the same way as I view Bron and MJ, others come close but they are the only two that I can honestly say check every box as far as what I think you need to be looked at as the greatest to ever do it. Consistency, impact, ability, substance, respect and accomplishments

Kanye has a lot of Medicore releases over the past 10 years. The only way you don't see this is if you're a Stan. Kendrick doesn't have one miss. Quality>Quantity.

Thanks for the content! A discography refers to an artist's entire catalog. Kanye West definitely has classic albums in his discography, but if you look at it as a whole and compare it to Kendrick's, I'm not sure the average quality is at the same level (especially post-2010 Kanye). Also, I feel like it's difficult for younger people to fully grasp the impact that artists like Jay-Z, Nas, or Eminem had in the late '90s and very early 2000s. I'm a bit older than you, and though I'm not from America, I still remember the huge presence that rappers like Jay-Z and Eminem had back then. Can't speak on 2pac or Biggie though.

If you haven’t listened to it before, Pink Floyd always had full concept albums and their Dark Side of the Moon/Animals albums are the classic rock album being used as a lyrical and composition complexity for a lot of the older/white generation to have as an comparison for their introduction to Kendrick’s TPAB/GKMC albums.
takin
Did they say so? I’m pretty sure they’re from the US

Kendrick has a Pulitzer highest national recognition you can get for your writing I think that sets him over the top in accolades

Sing about me dying of thirst imo is just as big or bigger than any song biggie put out. Its mainstream without being played on the radio. When people talk about it, it's like their discussing a lost book from the Bible. I think the 50 and Kanye argument ls valid. Also i have the spiciest hot take about em. I love him but yea, I got some opinions about that one haha
Squish Wright
When are we gonna get some Wu tang albums 🤔
