I just subscribed today for the first time out of sheer hope that there was a JPEG reaction somewhere and low and behold its 3 hours long blesssssssss
DrBeats
What happened is the history of Drake being a weirdo sex creep and Peggy not fucking with it. Just like Kendrick hates the dude, just as a man. It’s crazy to me that Kendrick reminded everyone about all the suss shit dude did (and continues to do) and people are still interesting in listening?
Amiranda 43
The reason some songs have lower streams is because they weren’t out before and cane out with the directors cut. Also pretty sure Peggy been hatin on Drake for a while
Samuel
Flume beats are so sick. Him and sophie killed that yeah right beat on BFT
Joshua Nguyen
All said with love btw. This album was 9/10 for me.
Joshua Nguyen
JPEG is brilliant production-wise, comparable to MF DOOM and Kanye. My critique for a good amount of songs on this album is that he just doesn't mesh his vocals with the instrumentals like I'd like to personally hear it, and that's not on any mainstream type of vibe. I love new shit and I'm here for the experimental stuff. The raps just weren't up to par with the production IMO.
Isak Tallberg
Would love a reaction from Dave East & Ransom new album The Final Call. Whole album is fire!
Dean Brown
LETS GOOOO
Sam Shaffer
New Fridayy album dropping tonight yall should check out!! Remember you really messed with his single baddest in the room
Andrew Colbaugh
We need that new Ransom and Dave East project the final call
Squish Wright
🫡
VibeVilla
trying to have that uploaded tonight, if not, tomorrow for sure
EricTheSwedishGuy
Not even a huge fan of his music but I enjoyed this a lot! Can't wait for the CyHi video!
Owen Peterson
Don’t even like JPEG loved this reaction. Watched it all twice
Ryan
nah this fire
Ryan
All My Heroes Are Cornballs has some pretty easily digestible stuff too
Squish Wright
When y’all posting the the final call
Mateus B.
watched every single second of this reaction. appreciate you guys
Oreo Speedragon
Yeah this is dope. Also he said in an interview Kanye is his favorite artist. So a lot of inspiration from Kanye. He actually produced on Vultures.
WSDoom
Need the new ransom x Dave East reaction!!
Ryan
fun fact, Peggy tweeted a photo of Freddie Gibbs asshole while he was working on Vultures. Also you should look at the twitter rant that got JPEG to work with kanye, its pretty funny
takin
I agree, we should make it happen in the next polls. :) It’s fun to see them challenged and pushed a bit out of their comfort zone
Elias (E-lie-us)
idk if yall will but one day yall should react to his previous album LP! really solid work and a lil more "normal" sounding
chris
Yeah going thru this, yall gotta hear OFFLINE! You’d love that one, more than any of his other projects.
chris
Second this, they would fuck with OFFLINE!
chris
Aside from the drake shit i think there’s important context that he has serious beef with Freddie Gibbs. They were in the same hotel during the vultures sessions sending threats on twitter. Peggy was posting pics later with Freddie’s ex, really touchy pics with her lmao.
Young Simba
That ransom and East project is crazy
King K
Jpegmafia has dissed drake for actual years. Like he's a hater hater. Which is why he's on Drake's "opp" list Edit: Oh they saw the tweet
King K
That's cause it's the directors cut
King K
Finally!
enzo
I'm 1hr into the video (also listening to JPEG for the first time with them) and I'm tapping out. This feels more like an art project than music or songs, I don't want to re-listen to any of this. Its like audible sandpaper where the only good parts are when it doesn't hurt to listen to.
Elias (E-lie-us)
Fun Fact: Buzzy Lee is Steven Spielbergs daughter
Leon K
JIHAD JOE was on the original album just before the Denzel track so that's why part of the track was the same as the song that replaced it on disc 1 of the new album
takin
Also the song ‘either on or off the drugs’ samples an AI-generated ’70s blues song titled ‘Turn on the Lights (1973)’ from YouTube, which interpolates lyrics from Future’s song of the same name :)
Jason Sarita
LETS FUCKING GOOO
aidan linehan
Thank u both for this reaction!! Regarding the rock influence- his production has always been abrasive but never rly had live instruments before this album, everything before was much more sample-heavy. This is definitely a request for the distant future but LP! offline edition (i think it’s just OFFLINE! on spotify) would be much more in your wheelhouse, it’s more lyrical and most of the album has that “normal” hip hop sound like on ALLAH that y’all kept referencing in this vid
gurshaan singh
He been dissing drake since his first album. The first ever thing he said was “Im here to take hip hop outta the drake era”He just hates him. He was the biggest drake hater untill kendrick stepped up.
Midas II
Starting at veteran* correction
Midas II
Peggy has a mouse cursor on every album cover he has. It’s kind of an Easter egg
Midas II
Big recommend this I got put on yesterday
mattmattburr
this shit was a movie. thank you so much guys loved this watched it from back to front lmao.
J
Based on the fact that you seemed to enjoy the more “traditional hip hop” songs on here, I think LP! offline edition (titled “OFFLINE!” on Spotify) would be a great listen.
Adrian J
We hereee
Trent
Alternative rap is so amazing
Trent
Man I couldn’t 2nd this more
Kevin Steen Steals Plates
Buzzy Lee is Steven Spielberg's daughter. They work together often. I have no idea how they linked up.
PNGYAKUZA
YESSSSSSSSS. Fuck yeah y’all rock. Lets go mfs
Alex Nuss
Also the songs with less plays for the most part are the new songs for the director's cut
Dylan
Dope reaction. I knew it wasn’t going to be your favorites but was excited to watch yall react to something outside your wheelhouse. Glad you both enjoyed it without being your type of music
Kevin Steen Steals Plates
Peggy has been dissing Drake on every album and according to him, it is just him looking at Drake like "I don't think I like this guy..."
Max Power
Like some are saying, you definitely would've preferred the original cut. The directors cut is definitely for the fan fans
chris .
39:00 yea there’s BEEN beef between those two
Alex Nuss
Also on a lot of these songs he's taking direct shots at Freddie Gibbs I'm not sure how much of their beef y'all are aware of
Stefan
Both Vince and JPEG have worked with Flume before (who produced the outro of their song and CULTSTATUS) who pretty much only produces crazy shit. This is more Vince's Big Fish Theory lane I guess
Alex Nuss
Love that y'all are getting to Jpegmafia!! I think you guys would love LP! And All My Heroes are Cornballs
WalkLikeAPanther
One more thing a few of these bars throughout the album are actually directed at Freddie Gibbs as well
sage765
Nah yeah he's a monster on production. This is my 2nd fav by him, LP! is somehow even more accessible and (slightly) better. Also, the nigga doesn't even need features fr
Anthony
Yall should’ve listened to the Og first smh
WalkLikeAPanther
Also funny you mentioned baby keem as a feature you’d like to see cause they share a birthday
WalkLikeAPanther
So with JPEGMAFIA there’s A LOT to get into as you can clearly see and hear lmao. As far as Drake v Peggy goes it just stems from the fact that he simply feels like drake is a culture vulture and has simply been using hip hop as a means to just get rich on top of a whole lot of other things. (I’d be a whole essay to get into why he TRULY hates drake) When it comes to his style and influences you hit the nail on the head with the taking YEEZUS and diving further in the deep end with it among other things. Such as his rock influences he loves punk music and industrial music in general. If you guys want a NORMAL project from JPEGMAFIA to check out the closest you’ll get IMO is ALL MY HEROES ARE CORNBALLS. He displays a lot of versatility throughout his music in general he never really fits into a box which again you could probably tell. The rapping on that album and LP! Are where you get a very BAR heavy projects. Same with. Veteran Also this isn’t your first time even listening to Peggy together y’all reacted to VENGEANCE from TABOO by Denzel he was on that track (which also features a drake diss lmao)
Stefan
The tracks with the lower listen numbers are the bonus tracks from the directors cut. It's not a case of disc 1 is the original and disc 2 the bonus. They're sprinkled throughout with some other changes to the tracklist order as well.
FigLeaf Bicarbonate
WE EATING
takin
Jpeg produced on Kanye’s last album :) He also has beef with Freddie Gibbs.
Night Market
Could've taken the easy way out and listened the the original 14 when y'all had the chance😂 (I'm here for it though)
Gitmoes
Yeah he’s been a drake hater since his early career. Remember him tweeting after the beef something like “damn Kendrick a bigger hater than me”
Dylan
"I need all my bitches same color as Drake" -Jpegmafia on Veteran 😂
Stefan
3 Hours?! WE HERE!!
PennGillette
Peggy is a day one Drake hater. Listen to his song 'Drake Era', he dropped it in 2016
Manuel
I think there’s some of my favorite jpeg songs on here. I’ve never been a huge fan of him and Danny Brown. This project helped me understand his style.
Slasherohh H
if yall really enjoy this,i cant recommend enough to check our paris texas. they recently dropped a super quick ep - 19 min long. they are as different as jpegmafia is different, have super slick and satirical bars and focus a lot on production-they do the production. highly recommend if yall wanna check out something similar and different
Cob
You crazy son of bitch, you finally did it Edit: JPEGs been on the Drake hate for the longest time lol
Marquis
Still watching reaction but if it didnt become aparent, his like, Idol and primary inspiration is Kanye. And just like YE, he's a Major shit talker. He also served in the US Airforce for 8 years
Carter Hollenbaugh
peggy has been going after drake since drakes’ early days. i’m guessing jpeg knows more than what others do and just hasn’t spoken out about it
PennGillette
Been checking every day for this one
Matt Peterson
This shit longer than a Scorsese flick, but fuck it, I'm in
LanjaDengudu
The production is immaculate
Max Power
Fuck ye
Dat Boi
I PRAYED FOR TIMES LILE THIS
BigJo H
We need a reaction to the new ghetts and Dave. Even the whole ghetts album if you can.
