the other thing with dave east is he hasn’t really had a focused project, there seems to always be a little too much filler, even on hoffa- but also he hasn’t done a whole project with someone to push him like ransom did on this

If you liked the sample used in THE MOSQUE - 57:37, it was also used in a 2013 Lil Bibby track called "Water" that goes haaaaaaard. Its a big motivational track for when you need a push. Lil Bibby's whole Free Crack project goes CRAZY for a first project, I think I remember him in an interview saying he recorded some of the songs in the bedroom closet with a mic.

If this isn't in a top five end-of-year list then it will be another stellar year for hip-hop. Ransom, everything's already been said. Dave, man he hasn't rapped like that for a while, if ever. Kind of hunger and artistry that Nas saw originally. Outstanding collab project. Ransom probably coming with another 2-3 in 2025. Shoutout Method Man too - the wordplay is getting ridiculous. Pen at an all-time high at 53.

I feel like it’s gonna be hard for someone to top this album this year. I was extremely impressed with Dave East. Just like you guys u thought it would be another Conway situation where Ran just smoked him the whole album

Im a fan of both so Im biased but this is a classic. No one can rap with Ransom lyrically for a whole album but Dave held his own and at times had more memorable lines. His problem is that he drops too much music but as he showed here he can be a top tier rapper. Final Call is a Muslim newspaper. I would go Livin Proof (last album) Book of David, Kairi Chanel, Hate me now, Black Rose to start. Ransom is the best and his next album is a Boldy colab.
