“Ah man, we are just gonna check some abandoned places, like a thousand years old… It’s not like we are gonna find some mighty foe or anything like that.” Kitty laughs his concerns off.

“...I just jinxed it, right?” After an awkward pause, she adds.
“Yes.”
“Absolutely.”
Ahem C’mon…” She tries to say weakly, before hyping them up “Whatever happens, we can deal with it.”

“That is a boring job for Lord Drakkon.” The Power Ranger says with his arms crossed while staring at Ophelia Sarkissian.
“Are you referring to yourself in the third person now?” She deadpans while avoiding his question
“I always did that, Green Snake Nazi Lady.”
“...you are horrible with names.” She says as a matter of fact, “I just thought that after being dragged around by Sin, you deserve some rest.”
“Evil doesn’t rest, so neither should I.” He declares strongly
“And now you are back to using first person…” Ophelia comments. She has started to get used to this guy's inconsistency. She thinks he is a pathological liar.
That is, of course, something Hector is doing on purpose.
“We need to move everything from this facility.” She says after some time “Just keep the cargo safe, in case the Yashida Clan can try something. Or worse…”
“Rightfully so. You are stealing for them.” Lord Drakkon scoffs
“We are just getting our payment after years of cooperation.” Ophelia says coyly
Lord Drakkon says nothing more; he only shakes his head at her.
“Just relax for a little, my hero.” She pulls a finger under his chin and says slowly “I don’t want you to burn out.”
“...” His plan is working.
The way that he is integrating into the ranks of Hydra is by becoming an invaluable asset. He is simply so good, it reached a point where they are almost addicted to it. Every mission delivered to him is always complete; it’s almost a cheat code.
Sinthea herself abused his prowess a lot, taking him on every mission.
That’s why Ophelia brought him to this boring activity, it’s not about needing him, is about taking him away from Sin for a while. Despite being allies, she obviously tries to keep some advantage over Sinthea, and this advantage is the fact that Lord Drakkon is hers. Or so she thinks.
She will not allow him to be swayed by anyone else, even her own ally. The cracks on Hydra are slowly starting to appear, and he barely did anything.
“Just be a good boy and wait here. I will find some evildoers for you to deal with later.” She says while caressing his helmet.
“...” If Hector were a less controlled man, he would have killed her here, but he can play along. She doesn’t have the right to call him “Good Boy”, but a spy has to put up with worse things than being flirted with by a hot goth mommy.
He then just stares as she walks away, swaying her hips to him.
‘I will forgive her this time because she is hot, but I will tell Shego.’ He thinks, knowing that when the opportunity present itself, his girlfriend will kick Ophelia’s ass.

After leaving Lord Drakkon, Ophelia walks to a separate room where she can supervise the proceedings of the moving operation. It is a strenuous task, moving so much material, much of which is fragile and valuable. She even asked Lord Drakkon if he could transport it, but he said that he couldn’t move large amounts safely.
There are two other people, two men, in the room, staring at the proceedings through many screens.
“I trust that you didn’t forget our deal.” The tallest man says in a gruffy voice, the smaller one remains in an unnerving silence.
“Hmpf.” Ophelia scoffs “You are the one who changes partnerships based on convenience.” She doesn’t like either of them because of the resemblance to a certain someone from her past, Logan.
“My previous… partners, become unavailable.” The tallest man finally turns to look at her. “I guess it can’t be helped if he puts his sights on them.”
“I guess it can’t be helped.” She needs to agree.
This man is Romulus, and any Marvel fan who looks at him would think the same thing: “Wolverine’s father/older wolverine/Wolverine’s ancestor”. The resemblance is uncanny.
The only difference is that Romulus is much taller than Logan and has long white hair, with the exception of the two dark bangs framing his face. Even his powers are similar, and Romulus was a key mastermind behind many occurrences in the feral meta’s life.
But the real relation between the two remains unclear to this day… Even Ophelia doesn’t know the truth, but she guesses that Romulus is a very old ancestor of the Howlett family, so old that he was erased by history.
Or not… She remembers that supposition that maybe this man in front of her is one of the twins who founded Rome! Romulus and Remus, who, the legends said, were nursed by a female wolf.
She would not dismiss this ridiculous theory that easily. Some parts can very well be true.
Ophelia gives a side glance to the third person in the room, remembering Romulus' words about the end of his last partnership. She stares at the young man with a complicated gaze.
“At least you are able to save some toys before him drop on your hairy ass.” She provokes, a smirk on her painted lips.
Romulus, despite his rough and unfriendly appearance, keeps a calm face despite the taunt.
“A pity, indeed…” He says while looking at the young man “Young Daken here was about to go through some… betterments. Even more regrettable was the loss of his sister; she was a promising one too.”
“Another daughter of his?” Ophelia almost hisses “I can’t imagine.” Her voice is dripping with annoyance.
“Still holds a grudge?” Romulus says with a small smile
“He is not that important for me to hold a grudge, the only interest I have in him now is related to Weapon X.” She says and gives him a look. “And I hope we can work together to keep it after the destruction by his hands.”
“I have more interest in that than you, girl. So you can rest assured.” Romulus says
“...” If Daken has any feeling about the talk, about his biological father or his sister, he doesn’t show it on his face. The young man with short black hair remains stoic and emotionless in his place.
While the trio continues to watch the Hydra agents carrying the equipment, research, and materials in the submarines, a siren attracts their attention.
“Is that…?” Ophelia says while looking at the group invading the facility and immediately attacking her subordinates. She notices a silver figure in the forefront of the attack.
“The Yashida Clan.” Romulus says
“Do you think they are here for you or for me?” Ophelia asks with mirth
“Anyway, they will return with empty hands… Or no return at all.” The tall man said before turning to Daken “Go deal with them, be aware of the Silver Samurai.”
With a nod, the young man immediately leaves the room.
“That is Kenuichio wearing the armor, right? They grow so fast~” Ophelia comments, amused.
“Just a little pup seeking the approval of his father.”
“Isn’t that how you also brainwashed the boy?”
“Kehe~ The opposite… I taught the boy to hate his father.” Romulus says with a malevolent smirk
“Then I have something in common with him, I also hate his father.” She says “Do you want my help? I can send my guy too…”
“No need, this will be a good way to sharpen his claws.”
“It’s better that he doesn’t mess this up.” She warns, with little patience to the two. Ophelia only needs an excuse to release Lord Drakkon on them, orders be dammed.

In another part of the facility, the X-Men used Kitty's powers to bypass the usual routes and appear in and remote area.
“I smell people…” Laura says, sniffing the air immediately after arriving.
“And it’s recent.” Logan adds.
The two look at each other for an awkward moment before turning away.
“Let’s go.” Wolverine leads the team.
“Do you think they will one day have a normal conversation or just stare and growl at each other?” Spyke asks Shadowcat and Nightcrawler if the two metas with adamantium skeletons go ahead.
“I don’t know.” Nightcrawler, the demon-looking meta, says
“We should be happy that this is the limit of their animalist schtick and they don’t sniff and lick each other.” Shadowcat comments
“Yeeeeeeww! Why did you put this image in my head????” Spyde looks horrified
“What? It is a valid concern, we are weird… Are you gonna shame a meta that does that and think it's natural?”
“Let’s hope the human in ‘meta-human’ continues prevailing then.” Nightcrawler comments, not less perturbed by the talk “I, myself, never felt the urge to sacrifice anyone and never burned under the cross.”
“In the end, they can only blame their lack of social skills instead of their powers…” As Kitty was saying that, Logan raised his fist in the universal sign of stopping, and the young X-Men stopped joking around.
Carefully, they go through an intersection, there’s a small metal bridge ahead, and looking down, they can see many men carrying boxes and operating small carts to transport other types of goods.
“Someone is doing a spring cleaning.” Shadowcat says in a low voice.
“What should we do? Can we take all of them?” Spyke asks
“Maybe we should call for reinforcements.” Nightcrawler suggests
“No one will arrive so fast…” Wolverine says
“We can call Eidolon.” Shadowcat adds
“And how would you call him, by shouting? This would alert everyone in this base.” Wolverine answers
“...I bet he would listen.” Kitty doesn’t take the rejection of her proposal well and comments in a low, resentful voice.
“Wait, there’s some commotion there…” Nightcrawler notices.
It was not subtle and everyone noticed too, after all, the wall exploded, and some Japanese men in ninja clothes were sent flying, together with a youngster filled with burns. The interesting thing is that the young man is regenerating… and he has three claws.
Despite having an odd claw that comes from his wrist, the familiarity is obvious even though the claws are not coated in adamantium. All the X-Men’s eyes instantly turn to Logan.
The man himself is growling angrily.
“Should we help him?”
“Let’s observe a little more.” Surprisingly, Wolverine is the one who holds them down.
His inaction even makes Laura glare at him.
“If he is what we think he is, he is not gonna die that easily.” Wolverine says
“A little heartless…”
He ignores the comments and continues to observe. His decision is very rational, but rationality doesn’t always prevail in those cases.
Especially when a big samurai in silver armor was able to step on his back to pin him down and raise an adamantium katana, ready to remove his head.
Laura is the one who acts. Jumping with a fury that only a wolverine can have, she immediately attacks the Silver Samurai.
The samurai seems to be well-trained because he reacted fast and calmly parried the adamantium claws.
“Well, that happened…” Shadowcat says simply, and there’s nothing more to be said… time to action.
The X-Men enter combat, their powers giving them an edge over the Hydra agents and the ninjas, even with the numerical disadvantage. Laura and Daken fight the Silver Samurai.
They look like they are winning, but when Wolverine arrives to do a 3 versus 1, something unexpected happens. Daken turns and attacks the older meta.
The change of events only makes the situation more chaotic.
Romulus and Ophelia are also aware of that and are moving too.
Meanwhile, Lord Drakkon watches everything from a calm place above them.
“What sort of chaotic family reunion is this? And Ophelia is Wolverine's ex, right? Geez~” He says “Even I don’t wanna put my foot down there. Maybe I am not needed and they can solve this issue peacefully-”
“RAAARGH!!”
“...” Where is Harley when he needs her?

There's not much to comment on, it's a straightforward chapter. First, great, I don't care about this obscenity, it was great to see Ivy fall, it's priceless. But that doesn't help my anxiety, Hope didn't show up, my nerves are through the roof, I can only hope (Haha I didn't see that here.) that she will show up and then there won't be a cliffhanger, but the chapter will be long enough to enjoy. If not, my heart is already on its limit. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if she did what Hector did when he met the X-Men for the first time, but acting like a village for fun. God, what do I do now. It was a good obscene chapter, a good steak, but I need my rice and beans.
