Kakarot is a good Saiyan name. A lot of people think that Vegeta is insulting Goku when he calls him that. But he's not; in a back handed way, he's acknowledging Goku by calling him by a Saiyan name. Vegeta has a lot of pride in his species, and is he didn't respect Goku, there's NO WAY he would consider him a part of that collective by using his Saiyan name. It's also worth noting that multiple characters throughout the series call Goku Kakarot (Broly, Turles, etc), but Vegeta is the only one that Goku doesn't correct. Because he knows what Vegeta means by it. Pretty sure Cell Games Gohan would have mopped the floor with Broly. Just goes to show how much weaker he got. The dragonballs couldn't actually be used to defeat Broly. They have the exact same idea to try to use them to kill Vegeta and Nappa, but Shenron says he can't do it, because he can't grant a wish that's beyond the power for his maker. If someone is stronger than the Dragonball's creator (in this case, Dende), he can't kill them.

Yeah the movies were kind of a blur in abridged for the most part as they weren't cannon and just sort of felt out of place. We do remember Broly looking cooler in that one, but other than looking like a badass we hadn't really latched on to anything that drew us to him. As personality always wins us over đ

Yeah so as many have pointed out, Gohanâs Gi is supposed to be Piccoloâs, but something happened. Meh. The first movie expanded a bit on Broly, thought he is a fan favorite because of how much of a powerhouse he is. Just a sadistic, powerful Saiyan. Thought I would say skip Bio-Broly, cause damn thatâs the only DBZ movie I stopped halfway through, itâs bad. And it doesnât even elaborate on Broly, if anything it disrespects him.

Gohanâs gi here is the same as in the Buu Saga before he had Kibito âclothes beamâ him his dadâs gi when getting ready to fight Buu. Also, Videl just has the outfit given to her by the villagers. She was wearing her typical clothing beforehand.

They were gonna make Gohan the official âmain characterâ after the Cell Saga but Goku was too popular so they made him get the kill against Buu.

About that Yu Yu Hakusho suggestion you guys got a while ago⊠The 4 main characters voices are the same as Raditz (MC), Vegeta/Piccolo/Yamcha/ETC, Tien and Android 17. Oh, and Friezaâs OG Funi voice actor plays a character. Gokuâs in there somewhere, too lol. One Piece is similar. Kid Gohan Kai (MC), Pic/Veg, Krillin, F. Trunks, Chiaotzu, etc. Sorry, thatâs just always been interesting to me. Part of the reason I started One Piece. Oh, and Yu Yu Hakusho has an abridged show by Lanipator, as well.

Older dragon ball movies are not that good. It's 10% character introduction and 90% fighting. There's no story and it all follow the same pattern. Can't wait for Battle of Gods

So as you know, Cha-La is the first opening for the original DBZ (Saiyan through Cell) but for the Buu saga they changed it up with a song called We Gotta Power which is what you guys saw here. (Banger song btw) 30 minutes in and I am reminded why I despise this movie lol. There's dragging its feet through a nothing plot and with a nothing antagonist then there's this. At least the Kikuchi score is good I suppose. Well that sure was a movie alright, not even the finale was as raw or cool as I remembered, (completely ignoring that it makes no sense contextually) but oh well, I guess they won't all be winners; I have faith Fusion Reborn at the very least will be better. I agree completely with both of your breakdowns with why Z Broly is just a nothing character, he has no substance, all rawness for the sake of being raw, and you could argue that he's not even really got that rawness here at least compared to his first movie. For the record this is an opinion that a lot people share (TeamFourStar especially) so yeah Z Broly is kind of a black sheep in the DB community. Lastly, Gohan's outfit I believe was more so his Gi from Piccolo that he got, the same one he wore when he fought Cell (you can tell by the purple colors). Some of the movies/releases have weird coloring/tint issues so it might've been more obvious in some releases rather than others, idk. But I'm pretty sure that's what he's wearing.

Yup broly only really cool cause heâs buff but the dragon ball super broly movie is so much better especially his story and him as a character and I canât wait till you get there, also question if anyone can help are the only posting the movies on Thursday till super starts? Bio broly is also terrible to me

This movie was not the best out of the movies, cant wait for yall to watch Fusion Reborn. It's one of the best Z movies. Also i strongly suggest skipping Bio Broly it's the worst out of all of the Z movies and doesn't expand on Broly's character.

Namekian dragon balls are bigger then earths thats likely what you were thinking of at the start Gohans outfit is inspired by Piccolos they just changed the color to a darker blue for some reason in this. Ken is right about the japanese name being Gi usually used to describe martial arts outfits.
